    We chose our date purely out of convenience, my FH is military and it is really hard to know his schedule far in advance. We chose March because it is basically right after his deployment so we know he will be home.

    We had to work around kid scheduling. My future BIL asked when the wedding was when we posted on Facebook that we were a couple last year. I responded April 25th because that was 3 months after our first date without giving the year since we had only just started dating. My parents had gotten married 3 months after meeting. When we did get engaged we looked at the calendar and the 25th is a Tuesday this year so we saw that Easter was in April and it is my year to have my kids for Easter and he'll have his kids so we decided on April 15th so that we knew for sure all 5 kids would be here for the wedding. I don't finalize the kids schedule with my kids' dad until Dec 1st of the previous year so choosing a date was a bit limited. And we wanted hockey to be done so we could easily go on a honeymoon. I thought Easter would make it easier for family to travel here but turns out not many people want to come and my friends up here are going away! We still have almost 130 people though who are coming.

    The only thing we know for sure it will be Sept 22, 2018 if we stay here or Sept 23, 2018 if we do a destination. The 23rd is our 10th Anniversary, but falls on a Sunday, so that won't matter if we are out of town but if we are in town we will have it on the Saturday.

    We are still playing with dates and even keep changing the year from 2018 to 2019, either Sept 22 2018 or July 20 2019, no in between! Hubby to be only finishes and comes home from school of April 2018 and with the original date in Sept. Im worried it's a lot of rushing and working to save for him, but at the same time with all of our family help its very possible that its still doable, we can't decide! Lol

    We chose March 24, 2018. At first we were going to have it on the summer. As we started looking at venues we realized that during the high season it's much more expensive. My mom was born March 24th and passed away in 1999. So this date is very special to me and allows my mom to be a part of the big day. This is my first marriage and I know she would love the gesture.
