First time bride at 47. So excited I am driving everyone banana's! Phil did not know what he started when he gave me the ring! My 24 year old daughter is only slightly less excited than me. She bought my wedding planner and a bridal mag for me within a week of our engagement, and insists on being my maid of honour. Feeling so lucky!!!

Wedding details

I'm hoping to arrange a romantic and elegant intimate event where the ceremony and reception are at the same venue. It's going to be tricky because I have a pretty small budget. My colours are going to be navy and ivory. I'm hoping to have star gazer lilies for my flowers, but I'm not sure how feasible that is. Recently found out they are more expensive than roses which was a bit of a bummer, but they are big flowers so I guess you wouldn't need as many. Planning this wedding is going to be the most fun I've had in my whole life! - Update - we've decided we are marrying in Cuba. The guest list will be smaller but it will be beautiful and a great time!! Everything just got easier....I use the musicians that the resort provide,, and the decorations, the cake, it's all done in one spot. Easy peasy. I've got my dress all ready, just need to get it fitted.
