Lynnie, on August 21, 2017 at 07:05 Posted in Wedding reception 0 84

It's all about the details... but those details can be expensive!! Smiley surprise

How are you budgeting for decor? Will you be splurging or saving?

Save. We're getting married in a Victorian building with lots of charm. I want loads of candles, otherwise our decor is super simple.

Same here! The venue covers the chair covers, table covers and it's in a beautiful place in the mountains so all we are doing is centerpieces, chair bows and the guest book/seating.

Save! Our venue is naturally beautiful so we’re minimizing decor.

I DIY'd all my decor and centerpieces because advice from past brides were that they overspent and people don't remember them. SO TRUE. I'm so glad I did all my own decor and save thousands. We put that savings towards our upcoming honeymoon to France.

Saved. Rented vases and white floral ball as rest of the décor was cheaper online and bought now used at home as décor.

Save! Our venue is all wood beams, stone fireplaces and twinkle lights... with floor to ceiling windows with an amazing view!

We literally have almost no decor aside from signs and centrepieces.

Save. We're trying to play off the natural beauty of our venue, so we're limiting décor.

Save for sure! I saved a lot by renting the backdrop, centerpieces and money box. I was about to spend $300 on a decorator to do eveything. I'm glad i changed my mind way before i lost that much more.

Save. I plan on using some of the decor for both ceremony and reception. And, we chose a venue that didn't need a lot of decorating so it's mostly just the centrepieces we need to worry about.

This will be the one thing is splurge on a bit. Because we have such a cute boat I'd love to just decorate it in lights but that may be pricy.

Save, won't be keeping most of them. Will probably try to re-sell if I can to other brides that would like to use it. So far our items are coming from the dollar store Smiley smile

I am so torn on This! Sometimes I feel like their are pieces of decor that won't make a difference but I always notice the little things at weddings we have attended. I think Spluge vs. Save would have to be specific to the item

Save for sure! Decorations were included in my venue package, and then I did some diy projects with the bridesmaids for other decorations vs buying them pre-made. We also used a lot of michaels coupons when we were buying things !
