My sister used Paperless Post for the invitations for my bridal shower and really liked it. It sends electronic initations and they can RSVP online and you can also have it printed if you want.

We also have a seperate wedding email to keep our normal inboxes clean and be able to categorize wedding things and rsvps. You could do that and create an invite online and send it from that email! Lots of services online to make e-cards. We are giving guests options to response via email or website just because we do have older attendees who may not be able to navigate the site but could email is easily! Our wedding is 40 including us so even if someone verbally responds we can go into our app for the guestbook and manually do it ourselves which I love too!
