Splurge or Save: Venue?

In between. Haha it wasn’t overly expensive and there is so much included!

Save and splurge at the same time? We booked our favourite upscale restaurant, as our guest list is under 50. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, a very romantic and classy environment. Doing it this way, we saved money big time - no banquet room rental, no chair rental, no set up/clean up costs, etc. That said, the food cost is $$$$ per plated meal, as this place is very much a "special occasion" place.

Save, we had to make it work for our budget and so I'm going to make it look like we splurged!!

We've booked a campground group site, so this could be a save, although there's definitely a cost involved.

Save, but our venue was a super deal! Built-in audio system, good lighting, chairs & tables, and linens for $500. Renting chairs for 100 people elsewhere would have been between $300-$500, so it's definitely a save on that included alone!

We splurged... ahah. It was the only thing we went over and above on.

Save! We're getting married on the future in-laws large property. Cost is exactly $0!

Somewhere in the middle. It's not a small/less expensive venue to save money, it just happened to be the venue we loved is less expensive. The Diamond Alumni Centre is on the Simon Fraser University campus in Burnaby. It's on top of Burnaby Mountain, has great views, and because it's mainly used for school/corporate events, the rental and catering rates are super reasonable. We get the whole venue (downstairs ceremony, upstairs reception) for $1500... and the most expensive buffet option (with aaaamazing food) is $47.99 per person! Score!

And it's so naturally beautiful on it's own, we literally are only bringing centrepieces for the tables, no extra decor needed! (Just some signs/table pieces)

Save, we are under budget due to what we saved here.

Splurge on photography & venue. Save on flowers & decor.

Splurge but Intimate. We're spending a bit but its totally worth it.

Splurge. I think the hall we got was a deal, but venue was one of the important things to us so I was willing to spend a little more if need be.

Well we picked a hall so if we are comparing to the pictures splurge.. But price wise it's a save.

Save! We picked a spot where we could do the ceremony, reception and dance. Our accommodations for the night are included as well.

Save but it's easy to do that and still get a unique space since we won t have that many guests (50 ish on a Paddlewheeler boat ❤)!

Splurge-ish as this the party of a life time

Save-ish. Make sure you get your bang for your buck and you're all set. I feel like we accomplished that for our wedding

I picked a beautiful hall for our 250 people wedding plus I hired a wedding decorator for all the extras, and our traditional Chinese 10 course wedding meal will be catered.

Splurge! The venue is SO important. I think it sets the background for your day. And will be in all of the photos that are taken so you want it to look pretty. Although I know the venue is going to be the largest portion for our budget, I am definitely still negotiating some extras into the deal!

Our venue is a bit of splurge! It's a big ballroom at the Sheraton and we are paying for an amazing plated dinner service. Shouldn't' need to much décor since the space is already so pretty. but I want it to be grand looking.

We are going to the intimate wedding. Just in a small hall for the reception with our close family and friends and the church that we are going to have the ceremony is called Cathedral of St. Catherine of Alexandria

I'd say splurge but mostly to get the best food.

Save it can be elegant with decorations

Splurge! This is the most important aspect of our wedding!

Our venue has no fee since we are getting the food from them too

We're having a beautiful venue but it isn't too expensive. However, you want to love your venue so if it takes splurging then definitely splurge. It's worth it
