We picked a venue that had catering included, and decorations to use for the hall so we saved in the end. We probably splurged a little bit, but we didn't go over the top or anything crazy! It was obviously the most expensive purchase!

The venue was a good deal but it's exactly what we wanted for a small wedding.

We went for what was us and what made us happy. I find we may be splurging just a bit, but not over doing it. I believe spending a reasonable amount on the venue is worth it

I will definitely try to save as much as I can on the venue. Our venue is waiving the venue rental fee since we will also be using their catering services. In addition, they have allowed us to customize the wedding menu, so that it fits our budget of about $85 (all inclusive) per head. So far, we have 115 people in our wedding list.

I think we saved! The only I initially wanted was more expensive during winter season for some reason and wanted about $141 per person. We ended up going with a lot less than that per person and adding a few other items on our own on the side

I think we saved for sure. We found a reception hall that has completely customized a menu for us for $51 a head. We're having Christmas dinner with milk and cookies for dessert for our December wedding. Plus it's a small ish venue so we only have (110) guests max. It was hard to narrow down our list but I think we've invited the important people in our lives. I always said whoever we'd want to spend Christmas with should be the ones we want at our wedding.

We are both military so we get the use of our mess and that is only going to cost us $150.00.

Not sure yet. Probably save? We really only need a reception hall with an outdoor space for the ceremony. And the guest list is going to be under 120 so we won't need much space.

This was our splurge for the wedding! We wanted a place that did it all right- good local food that actually tastes great, a full open bar, and a venue that is beautiful all by itself. We're thankful we spent the money because the service we've received is beyond our expectations, and we know the view from the floor to ceiling windows in the space will make for a breathtaking sunset at our reception. Splurge!

We're in between save and splurge. Doing hotel ballroom, making easier with setup and for guests stay in hotel.

Probably splurged. We ended up with half the number of guests we were expecting so if we'd known that, we could probably could have found some place smaller but we loved our venue so it was worth it!

We splurged I would say. We booked exclusive use of a whole property (with cabins and beautiful land and everything) in BC for a long weekend. Guests will be paying for their own accommodation though.

Our venue has an all inclusive cost per person that includes all venue costs, wine, cocktail hour hors d'oeurves, all linens and part of the centerpieces! It was worth it although the cost per person is kind of high!

Splurge. This is about half of our wedding budget, but includes food and open bar and they're amazing at organizing.

I wish we had the money to splurge! But we settle for my church which is in a school gym. It'll still be wonderfully rustic!

Splurge! It was my first choice for venue. It wasn't the most expensive, but wasn't the cheapest. The venue is going to be in almost all pictures, so I wanted a nice place.

We splurged on the venue! We are getting married at a private golf course on the pacific ocean. It is the course my fiance and I met at and my father-in-law to-be was the golf professional there for over 30 years. It was a splurge compared to other places we could have chosen but the location is sentimental for us in many ways. The price also includes quite a lot, including a day of coordinator, so I believe it's worth every penny!!!

We definitely splurged for the venue. Half of our budget is going towards the venue. Because we chose a golf course, a lot is included... so although we splurged, we're finding it well worth it!

We splurged here. More than half our budget is the venue. But, if we calculate per person, we're under budget. They say food is the most important, so we decided to splurge on the venue and save elsewhere

Medium on this haha. Our venue is the bulk of our budget, but it's a golf course so the cost of the venue includes catering, the bar, all the service providers, and a lot of the rental stuff like chairs and place settings.

Save! We're having the ceremony and reception at the summer camp I grew up going to. They have a cute chapel area and the dining hall will look beautiful and rustic when we string up lights! Best of all, it costs almost nothing!
