Splurge or Save: Honeymoon?

This is where I am hoping to be able to splurge at! I'm hoping to maybe receive quite a bit of money as wedding gifts because my plan is to take all of our money from the gifts and put together with the money I'm hoping to be able to save and be able to go on a very nice romantic honeymoon to start poff the beginning of our new life together!

Splurge, after the hell we put ourselfs through for one day I will not save on our honey moon

We splurged. Everyone was like "save up and then go" but I'm the type that if you don't do it now, you'll never get around to it so even though it was pricey, we splurged on a trip St. Lucia and stayed at a Sandals resort. It was so worth it! Every day, we say how we wish we could go back.

Splurging on this! it will be my first time travelling.

We are splurging and going to Disney World next April! I have only been there once in 1998 and my fiancé has been there 3 or 4 times before so we cannot wait!!!

We will definitely be splurging as we would like to take 2 weeks off to enjoy our honeymoon and time together!

Splurge only plan on doing it once. Want to make sure it's a good time

Sort of both. We won't be having a honeymoon for 6 months, but then we're going to spend a week in Greece and a week visiting my family in Israel.

Not sure yet. We aren't doing the honeymoon right after the wedding as we just don't have the money for that but we might see what comes in from the wedding and possibly go to Alaska for a week next year!

If we can... we would love to splurge.! With 3 kids and no vacarion for 5 years.... its time We're thinking Jamaica. Can't wait

Save (compared to where I wanted to go). I really just want to spend a week on the beach. I also want it to be somewhere neither of us have been before.

I wanna say save but it was still deathly expensive. 4 days in Vegas

We decided to splurge big time on a honeymoon. We're both excited to have kids, so we figured we may as well go big now, as once we have kids we'll definitely take a break from travelling for a bit. We're looking at doing a 3-4 week honeymoon in Europe - Austria, Italy, Switzerland, and Germany! Fiancé is Austrian, and has lots of relatives there... so we'll save a bit on that portion, but definitely an overall splurge.

I said splurge, since I wanted to go on a beautiful honeymoon to a place where we'd probably never go again (LOL) but my fiancé wants to save. So we'll see who wins 😂🙏🏼

Depends who you ask hahaha! I would say splurge for sure! My FH would probably say save haha

We would love to take a week away in Mexico or Cuba but it depends on work schedule for him . Hopefully

Kind of in the middle. We will be leaving the country but it won't be weeks in Europe! A week in Mexico sounds fine to me.

Kind of a splurge. We're not flying overseas, but we will be flying. We're going to Port Townsend, Washington where we'll make each other's wedding bands!

We havent talked much about this yet, but we've decided like we would like to splurge a little on this as you dont always get the opportunity to do this

Save!!! My Brother and Sister in law are giving our honeymoon as a wedding gift, all inclusive at Hard Rock Hotel, Punta Cana. Also the air fare too.

No Honeymoon yet! We will likely go on a trip in a couple of years!

I'd say splurging. We're planning on taking a road trip down to San Francisco, camping along the coast.

We are splurging a bit and saving a bit. We are going for 2 weeks to Mexico but the cost for our first class seats was almost half because of points and perks

We're going on a longer honeymoon a few months after the wedding, when my fiancé is done farming. We'll probably splurge on that one

We'll be saving on this one as my future mother-in-law has said she's like to gift us our honeymoon.

Our honeymoon will be a splurge. 4 weeks biking across Europe!! (the road bike portion is our way of "saving")

Splurge splurge splurge! We are taking a month off to travel. We are big travelers, so this just makes sense for us. Our honeymoon will likely cost near what the actual wedding does, and that is A-Ok with us!

Save - we are in the process of moving, and so we decided to take a short honeymoon (Ottawa or Montreal) and then take a longer trip next summer/fall for our one year anniversary to a resort or to Europe.

Save! We are in the process of buying a house instead.

Save for sure. We used credit card points and booked two separate honeymoons so we can break it up a little. We also asked for that as our wedding gift because we have already been living together for 10 years.
