I first met his mother in my high school where she was taking an adult education course. Back then they still offered them in high schools. We had coffee and lunch together a few times and she became a close friend who was like a second mom to me. So shortly after befriending her, she introduced me to her son. He was 14 and I was 15 at the time. He was too shy to talk to me back then, but it was adorable because all he could do was blush when I was around for the first couple years. After that we became friends. I spent a lot of time with him and his family over the years. I lived with them during college and our friendship just got stronger. I knew he always had a crush on me but I never liked him like that. After 25 years of friendship though, one day he started looking different to me. By this time we were best friends. His mom had passed away and we had became even closer in our grief.... then one day it just happened. We went from friends to more than friends and I realized I was falling in love. We decided to give it a shot. Another 10 years later and we are finally ready to commit our lives to each other in marriage. So I am marrying my best friend this year and I couldn't be happier.
