Where are you getting ready for your wedding?

If there is no bridal suit at your venue where are you getting ready? Also where is your groom and groomsmen getting ready? Are the locations close to your venue or close together to save on travel time?

That’s so nice that he is getting ready at his parents!

That’s a good idea, I will look into an air B&B in the area.

All the Bm's and I are splitting an air B&B for the night before/ potentially the night of (for them) and it's going to be soo cute! My home is a little too far away (45 min drive) from the venue, so the next best option was to book a really nice, aesthetically pleasing place right by the venue!

My reception venue had a bridal suite but I got ready at my parents house. It's good feng shui for me to get ready there (especially me exiting the front door). Our reception and ceremony venue were at different places, so we didn't want to go back and forth

Our venue didn't have a "bridal suite" but it is a hotel, so my mom and I booked an executive suite the night before, stayed there, and got ready there. She also had it booked for the wedding night so her and my dad didn't have to worry about driving home - was used to store our DIY that night.

My DH's dad had a hotel room since he is in Leamington. The groomsmen, my dad and my DH met up there and got ready at that spot.

I'll get ready at the cottage my parents are renting 15 minutes from the venue. Don't know where the guys will get ready yet - maybe at his parents' house but it's an hour away. It costs extra to rent a room to get ready in so we're trying to avoid that.

Oh yes you're right. That does make more sense. For me, the bridal suite and church are 5 minutes away from each other. So maybe it would be better to get ready in the bridal suite. I would feel comfortable in the bridal suite. Especially if its so close to the church.

My reception has a bridal suite but it's 40 mins away from the church, so for me being at home made more sense.

I think it would depend on what you felt more comfortable with! Would you feel more comfortable at home? Would you feel comfortable either way? If you are comfortable getting ready at the bridal suite - I'd get ready there.

I'm the exact same as you. Except my venue has a bridal suite which is 5 minutes away from my church. I am still debating whether to get ready at home (30 minutes away) or at the venue bridal suite. What do you think?

We actually have to fly home for the wedding so we’re getting ready at the hotel room. It was a saving grace because we were actually quite worried about that!

We're planning on booking an airbnb for everyone to get ready at. I've got my eye on one that has a separate entrance for the basement that would be perfect for my FH and his crew to be getting ready and having no risk of seeing me while still being at the same place.

We were planning on using a friend's home that is somewhat close to our venue. We don't have a bridal party, but I'll need some help getting into my dress and whatnot.

Our venue actually has space for us, so we might end up doing that instead.
I honestly don't care where I get ready as long as I don't need to be in a car in my dress!

I got ready at my friends; it was probably 30 minutes from the ceremony. Looking back, I do think it would’ve been more convenient to get ready closer, but her place had really nice photo ops.
My husband got ready at his place. They were probably 20 minutes from the ceremony site.

Our venue didn’t have a “bridal suite” or any space where we could get ready. I didn’t know how convenient that was until my friends wedding (after mine) and both the bride and groom had a space to get ready, leave their stuff, get some photos, and is bridesmaids could just chill while they got their couple photos taken.

I’m getting ready at home but my parents house is only max 20 mins from the church so it makes sense. FH is getting ready at his parents house - 5 mins from the church.

Both of our parents houses are probably 30-40 mins from the reception venue.
We’d probably have picked hotels to get ready in somewhere between the two locations if our parents weren’t close by.
