Where are you getting ready for your wedding?

Veronica, on November 27, 2019 at 01:18 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 49
If there is no bridal suit at your venue where are you getting ready? Also where is your groom and groomsmen getting ready? Are the locations close to your venue or close together to save on travel time?

I know. It was really an unexpected offer. Super nice and a master with hair! If anyone is looking for a hairstylist in Halifax, I would definitely recommend. :-)

Im working on this. Our venue provides a guest house for the day/evening that sleeps 10. But check-in begins at 1pm day of. So I have no clue how to work this out. Also the venue is an hour away from our house.

One idea I have was getting a room the night before close to the venue. Id hate to rush in the morning.

I recently tried to change my hotel block to the night before the check-in date. They can but then, they wouldn't be able to secure the actually wedding night.

Any ideas are welcomed. Smiley smile

Mostly at the salon that my hairstylist owns. It's about a 5-10 minute walk or 2 minute drive from the venue.

Because the salon is usually closed on Sundays and have no other bookings, he's giving us the run of the place for the time we are there - letting me bring in my outside MUA, said we could bring in food/drinks (joking he gets a slice if it is pizza! Smiley xd ), etc.

My FH and his side of the party are probably going to get ready either at our apartment, short drive, or the hotel room we are getting that is literally one street up from the salon (also like 5-10 minute walk to the venue).

At the ceremony venue! The church we are having the ceremony at is guitar large and has many separate rooms for us to get ready in and such (which also makes life easier for our photographer as well haha)

My husband and I shared the same suite together at the venue as it was our getting ready space given there was a living room connected next to the bedroom. The ceremony and reception was held there as guests also enjoyed their time with on land and water activities.

Being a February wedding that is our goal. Once everyone gets there the travelling is done. The ceremony and reception are there.

I'll be renting a hotel room the night before for me and the girls. (I know from another wedding they will allow us to get ready and use that room for the day. My venue is also a hotel. I will actually have to leave to get my first look pictures done but it'll be nice to have the space for everyone to get ready in. It's easier for hair and makeup to come to hotel.

I don't think the photographer will be in the car with us. The family and us are taking the limo to the reception venue - so no room haha. We'll get good pics though.

Its nice that they both live close to the church. Traveling to the venue after shouldn’t be too bad, your photographer can get nice pictures of you and your husband in the car

Yes having a bridal suit is really convenient, unfortunately our venue doesn’t have one. I think I’m going to have to rent a air B&B or hotel. But I’m also thinking about getting ready at my parents house that live 20 mins away from the venue
