What's your first dance song?

Beneath Your Beautiful by Labrinth. It describes my FH and our relationship so perfectly ... breaking down walls and fears to see and love each other just as we are.

He loves George Strait and played one of his albums on the drive from my grandparents place to the farm where he proposed. At first I wasn’t very keen on it as I always imagined a more upbeat song for our first dance, but the more I listen to it the more I fall in love with it.

Currently we have no first dance song! I like a lot of songs but he’s more picky so I’m going to wait until closer to the date to decide on things. Short-listed for a contender is “Everlong” (Acoustic) by Foo Fighters.

"At last" by Ella James. We both loved it when we heard it, and felt that it suited our relationship situation the best.

We are doing "last shot " by Kip Moore, we wanted something a little less slow and mushy as we arent those kind of people, so we decided on an artist we both loved and found something a little faster , with still having some romance to it. This song is a bit slower from the others we were considering but it just works so well for us, i knew it was the one once i listened to it ! the song we had chosen originally, was complicated by kip moore as well ,however, it had a verse about getting pregnant and we didn't want our guests thinking it was some clever announcement :p ! since we weren't attached to the song , we just moved on !

We were going to do "From the Ground Up" by Dan and Shay but we have recently switched it to "Looking Through Your Eyes" by Leann Rimes. I was showing him one of my favourite kid movies (Quest for Camelot) and when the song played he told me that he really liked it and we should dance to it instead of our initial choice

Flowers in Your Hair by The Lumineers, my best friend picked it out as our song when we first started dating and then mix into Something About You - Hayden James (odesza remix) as this is a special song for us too. I can't wait!

My FH chose our song - I just want to dance with you by George Strait

I haven’t decided on that one yet but I’ve always loved “To Make You Feel My Love” by Adele

Truly Deeply Madly by Savage Garden is what we chose.

Well I'm glad I got to ready some of these suggestions because we are stuck !!!! I'm one heavily focused on lyrics and my fiance is very focused on the beat, so he's usually not much for ballads! There is a song from Bad English thats called When I See You Smile, and I loved the lyrics! Reminded me of my FH and how I felt. I didn't tell him what I liked and I decided to dance with him in the living room (ya! we are corny and do that!) sing it to him in his ear to see his reaction. AND part way through he pretended to fall asleep on my shoulder and snore! So I got the hint! Lol So I told him since he doesn't care about the lyrics and it's more about the music I'm sending him you tube links and lyrics to a few and he can read and listen and pick was resonates with him! Lol Right now we are thinkomg Groovy Kind Of Love - Phil Collins or Perfect - Ed Sheeran. Guess I'll have has to see which he stays awake through! Lol

That was such a popular song back in the day when it came out! My uncle had it at his wedding and my fiancé's uncle just got married last year and had it. Such a beautiful song, doesn't get old!! Great song choice!

I think we are going with an oldie... (not that old but its not modern music these days haha). Josh Turner, Would You Go With Me. Still comtemplating but this is our number one so far.

I have no clue yet. We have very different music styles which is causing more stress then it needs to!!!! We have time to figure it out

There is soo many to choose from- we really like tangled up in you by stained and also extreame- more then words.

I think we are likely to go with Heaven by Brian Adams as it was one of the first songs we danced to when we started dating and because we have a guitarist doing our first dance I think it will sound lovely.

We chose Mean to Me by Brett Eldredge. It's been "our song" so it was kind of a no-brainer. I even found an adorable print on Etsy with the lyrics... it was meant to be!

We are going with Beauty and the Beast by Celine Dion. I am a huge Disney fan. He is a big bearded guy so he always calls me his beauty and himself my beast. It's corny but that's us aha

We chose Marry Me by Train. It's such a beautiful song and we saw them in concert and they performed it and we danced in the audience so it was perfect for us. My husband and I can have very different music tastes but we both love Train. I was going to have one of my bridesmaids sing it and her husband play it on guitar but it was turning into too many logistics so we just had the DJ play it.

We chose Amazed by Lonestar. It is a special song because it was my dad and step-mom's wedding song. Also I like that it is an older song, and not something so current and overplayed.

Amanda Marshall, If I didn't have you. It's my groom's Buddy's choice song? He has always liked it for a wedding song. So it's a no brainer for me and I really like it too.

I really wanted You're My Best Friend by Queen, because Phil is a Heavy Metal guy and I thought he would never go for an older classic type song that I would normally pick. I just love Etta James and HE suggested we dance to At Last....which makes me get choked up just thinking about it. I will be a month shy of 49 years old walking down the aisle for the first time, and it will be on the 10th anniversary of our fist date so it really means a lot. Phil also intends to dance to one song and one song only at our wedding, and is basically scared senseless because he thinks he can't dance. I promised we would do dance lessons for it so that he will be less nervous. I can't wait. I will probably be a big cry baby during those lessons!!!!
