What time is your wedding starting?

April, on April 26, 2018 at 17:47 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 32

How long of a space do you have between your wedding and your reception? What time is your wedding starting, and then when does the reception begin?

This is we are also doing! Gives you plenty of time to get those photos in and we want to set up little stations to keep people entertained prior the reception starting

We also were thinking a morning wedding would be less expensive. So that’s why we choose morning.

Wedding started at 4:30 and reception was 6:30 with lots of time for cocktail hour. Pictutes taken inbetween as well in one venue.

I was wondering about having more time in between the ceremony and the reception. We have ours at 430, and then reception party at 630. I think judging by most of the responses that will be enough time, but I like that you've given yourself ample, so you don't have to worry about it!

We’re early birds and wanted a fresh take on our smaller intimate celebration. It also helps that our venue costs less during day! 😜

I haven't decided between 2:30 or 3pm for the ceremony. Cocktail hour from 5pm, reception starts about 6 until whenever.

Our ceremony is at 1pm and then cocktail hour is 5:30pm. Then reception start at 6;30. We are not doing first look so we need a longer time inbetweeb to go to the park. Ceremony and reception at the same place. What is your thoughts on our timeline please ...

My plan is a timeline like this:
    3pm - private ceremony
    3:30pm - pictures
5pm - cocktail hour at reception site for guests
6pm - wedding party entrance and dinner

I figure this way no one has to wait around forever while we're taking pictures and then we're not rushed. The ceremony site is small, so it'll be immediate family and a few select guests only and most of them will be in some pictures anyway.

We’re having a morning ceremony and brunch reception too!

The ceremony will begin at about 10/10:30,followed by a mimosa cocktail period with the reception will follow.

We’ve got one venue so the transition should be pretty smooth.

We are having a pretty quick turnaround... Ceremony at 3:00 and reception will be open for cocktail hour at about 3:30-3:45.... Its only a 10 min drive from ceremony venue.

Our ceremony is from 2:30-3:30 and our reception starts at 5:30. We will be chasing the sun for photos because the sun sets at 4:50 on our wedding day. Plus our reception is a 15 minute drive from the church.

Thats very close to ours. We decided on 430 wedding, and 630 drop in for reception/after party.

I was wondering about if I did the timing right, if I left enough space in between!

We are still planning it but look like we will start at 4h-4h30 to have time to do first look before. After that pictures with everyone as we have a tiny wedding of 40 guesses. After 5h30 to 6h30 cocktail and then 7h00 reception. That is the plan up to now Smiley smile

My ceremony is starting at 4 and then there’s a cocktail hour leading into my reception at 6. We wanted as little a gap as possible but still needed room for pictures

We have about a 4 hour gap. Our ceremony starts at 11am. We are expecting that to take about 45 minutes. And our hall for the reception opens at 4.

2pm ceremony and 5pm cocktail hour except not really bc it’ll pretty much start right after the ceremony. We’ll have games, snacks and drinks for guests after the ceremony and then a more formal cocktail hour I guess will be in the tent at 5 and then supper at 6pm.
