What stage of wedding planning are you at?

I have 7 months left until I get married! Currently I am focusing on planning of my Buck and Doe on May 25th. Where abouts are you in your wedding planning and how many months or days until you get married? What is something your struggling with right now or whats your biggest achievement !

51 days to go for me! Just finishing up the little things now, doing a bit of DIY. Our joint bachelor/bachelorette is this Saturday so I am pretty excited about that! And my bridal shower is at the end of March. Biggest achievement is remaining organized and booking the big things quickly. We didn't shop around much- we did all of our research online (via vendors websites) and then read all of the reviews- meeting the vendors in person was just to confirm we were 100% sure we wanted them

My struggle at the moment is trying to hear back from my venue coordinator. She emailed me last week asking for us to meet with her once more before the wedding to go over the smaller details- I responded back with a few dates we have available and I haven't heard back. I emailed her again today, so hopefully she responds to this one

I priced out pizza and the prices or discounts they gave you was less than 10% of normal pricing, some companies did offer like $8 per pizza but how much we would need ended up being a lot, plus delivery and such. I like tradition as you mentioned you don't hear complaints!

Really? Here in Manitoba they have prices specially for socials so it's actually cheaper to get pizza Smiley atonished

Just think of it this way though - never hear bad things about the reg. stuff, but will always have people complain about the sauce/cheese ration, if the pizza gets cold, and what pizza is left by the end of the night (vegetarian people not happy with meat, and picky eaters not wanting veggie)... there is no winning!!

I was considering pizza or the traditional way. Honestly though pizza is so expensive compared to traditional!

Lots of fun ahead for you!

Tiny details like bathroom baskets and seating chart left, only a little more than a month to go! And paying all the vendors lol.

We will be having the usual social food (we are strongly against pizza)! So; Old Fashioned Ham, Roast Beef, Turkey Breast, Salami, Coil Garlic Sausage, Cheese, Pickles, Rye Bread, Ripple Chips, and Pretzels!

As for the bachelorette party - it will either be in August if we aren't too busy (we've got a possible wedding shower, my birthday, my Dad's birthday, my Baba's birthday, aaaaand the Ukrainian festival), but most likely will be in September (nothing planned as of yet though).

    Yep! Next July Smiley smile

I want all the 2019 prices (got venue, photographer at 2018 prices!). Prices go up so fast - I don't want to pay more just for waiting longer!

My venue was already booking for 2020 when I put a deposit down. I've had cake people take weeks to respond to emails because I am so far away.

Fingers crossed I am just contacting the wrong vendors and it's not meant to be anyway with something better around the corner! Smiley smile

Isn't that around year and half? I literally had to book that far in advance where I am to even get the venues I wanted!! Make sure in all contracts if book people that prices won't change. Most informed when I got quotes that they will change in the new year. Which I said after I sign this, I'm not paying any different prices.

I hope they become easier to deal with and congratulations Smiley smile

45 days! I'm so excited! Smiley smile We have many, many loose ends... One thing at a time, though. Tomorrow my fmil and I are going to the venue to plan chair set up, decide where we will enter from, where the service will take place, and about a dozen other small details.

I’m 499 days out 😂! Right now we’re focusing on decor; chair rentals, flowers, table cloths, napkins, etc.

Biggest achievement so far was getting my dress purchased!

My struggle now is lots of vendors dont take us seriously because we’re still “so far away”. I’m trying to have my wedding planned by the end of this year so to me, my big day doesn’t feel so far away! Hopefully vendors will become easier to deal with.

I am 23 days away from my Wedding Social! We have most of the prizes gathered and the food is on order. Next thing is to buy the booze and the raffle, 50/50, and other tickets!

Then we have to focus on getting the invitations out - and by association we have to plan the Wedding Shower which will most likely be in August (5 months from now)

Theeeeen we have our wedding!! We are getting married October 5th so we are 213 days away! Most is taken care of for that though, just need to finalize decor and the officiant.

I'm 7 and a half months out!! Right now, I'm waiting on some fabric swatches for bridesmaid's dresses to come in so I can pick out the right designer/colours.

I'm not struggling with anything except for recurring wedding nightmares: last night I had a dream that all my teal decor came in hot pink so our wedding looked like a cheesy Valentine's party, and all my exes showed up!

For achievements, I replicated an invite template off Etsy in Adobe illustrator and it turned out pretty great! So I might DIY our stationary now lol
