I don't know what my theme is. I'm assuming its elegant.

It will look something like this. Wedding theme? 1

the chair cover will be in champagne to match the table cloth and napkins. The centerpieces will be dark red and white.

I’m not too sure if it’s correct but I think it’s more of a vintage chic or modern vintage? No idea 😂 navy, blush, gold, ivory, lace, and metallic accents 😍

I agree with a lot of the other girls... "themes" nowadays don't necessarily mean "Roaring 20's" or "Mystic Enchantment"... it's more the vibe/tone/aura of the wedding that you're aiming towards. I would say my "theme" is Winter Formal Elegance... we're keeping it classy, a little rustic, and consistent decor/colours. Nothing particularly "theme-y". I'm keeping it formal with lot's of blacks, navy and splashes of silver and sparkle. And then BAM, me in white. Haha.

We're doing an "Under the Stars" theme! I haven't quite figured out how to word this yet on invites or anything though... "Written in the Stars" has been another option!

I wanted to say "Come join us under the stars as we celebrate our marriage" except that I feel like this is suited more for an outdoor wedding? We will be in a hall (decorated with a lot of twinkle lights though)

Colour wise I always say Galaxy as we're doing a lot of purples and blues (image below) but we are also doing a lot of gold accents!

I need to find the exact numbers, but WeddingWire did a study last year which found that something like 70-80% of couples say that their wedding has a theme - but that 80% of those people are actually talking about a overall vibe, color palette, or style (like classic, rustic, beach, etc), and not necessarily a specific theme like “Great Gatsby” or comic book touches or Harry Potter themed!

Whenever people asked me about my theme I was very tempted to say “it’s wedding themed”! 😆 But as my wedding decor went deeper and deeper into gold sequin overload I started saying my wedding theme was “sequins”! ✨

If you aren’t sure how to respond I’d talk about the formality, colors, and decor style!

We dont have a specific theme! It's an evening wedding with lots of fairy lights, black geometric lanterns with white floral accents/black berries, lots of greenery and my girls are wearing black. I've never seen a wedding done this way and I'm super excited to try and pull it together. I'm a professional florist (part-time) and I used to decorate ceremonies in the early years of my business.

Hahaha Yeah I struggle with this too! We are still in the early stages of planning but I'm going for a vintage/rustic romantic feel if that makes sense? These are the colours I'm inspired by.

Want lots of rose gold and peachy pink with blue accent!Wedding theme? 7

Ours is a bit odd - it's VERY us - an eclectic mix of things we love.

For décor, we are going with a 'beachy' theme as we originally wanted a destination wedding but that fell through (Blue, silver and white colours, sand/sea shells for center pieces), but we're also mixing in some Star Wars (May 4th wedding, characters for our entrance, lightsaber battle instead of first dance). The grooms cake topper is Batman and Tinkerbell (it's actually really adorable!).

Theme of my wedding.... well my colors are Black, Gold (Sequinns and Glitter) and Red Roses. I would say "Romantic Fairytale" It is a French Theme with eiffel Towers (We both like eiffel towers) and a hint of the Beauty and the Beast. I did manage to find a "Belle" dress from Alfred Angelo! I am going for a Formal, Classy Romantic Feel.

I haven't really had anyone ask yet but we're going for a super fun and engaging evening. There's no formal sit down dinner - cocktail style & action stations, giant lawn games, open bar with signature drinks and a huge dance party. It's just who we are and since our guest list is 25% family 75% friends under the age of 40 and no kids - it's bound to be a great time.

We're getting married in a greenhouse-like event centre with lots of greenery and the colours are cobalt blue & gold so I think it'll definitely stand out in people's minds for awhile.

Lol this is probably just me but that's one of my wedding pet peeves when people say "The theme of my wedding..."

Stick with what you're doing and just tell them the overall look you want to achieve.

The theme of my wedding is "Its a wedding. We're getting married".

The theme question is one that gets asked a lot, but I find more and more people don't have a traditional theme, but more of a 'feeling' they're going for.

When people ask I just use descriptive words such as soft, vintage, classic and romantic. We definitely aren't doing rustic though which I think a lot of people get confused about when they hear vintage.

I just tell people we don't have a theme; we are choosing what we like rather than choosing because it matches the theme.

No problem and absolutely! You can also call it Classic Romance or can say you’re going for an Elegant/Romantic feel. I don’t think there’s any rules really to labelling it Smiley winking

Our wedding is on the farm so it’s kind of rustic. I don’t have a lot of people ask me my theme I don’t now if it’s because it’s on the farm and they just assume or not but I get more people asking me my wedding colours which is also kind of hard to describe because we chose neutral colours, older people give me a look when I say neutral lol. Your hall looks very elegant and romantic!

I totally know what you mean! We are having a forest theme, but that sounds too weird, so I say my colours are Evergreen and Burgundy, but that sounds like I Don't have a real vision. I think I'm going to start owning the Forest theme language because that's what it is! You should just make up a name and own it! Smiley smile If they don't understand, they will see at the wedding. It's all good Smiley smile

I feel the exact same way regarding my “theme”. Honestly, I just say modern, trendy, and on a budget! I honestly don’t know anyone who’s had a theme per say.

I had the same problem. I just decided for could scheme first : burgundy, gold, & blush. And my wedding is in Sept so fall - ish. So i decided to do a classic vintage theme. It's a bit of rustic feel combined with classy style.

My wedding is simply based on our inspirations/influences (ie cherry blossoms, local products) and a nod to our cultures.

We don't technically have a theme. We are getting married in a barn so the decor and such kind of follow that. We are country, outdoorsy type people so I suppose it's a "rustic country" theme but it really just comes with the location. Not all weddings have a specific theme. What types of ideas and looks are you going for?
