Wedding party - choosing their own outfits?

We chose their outfits. We had 3 attendants each, so it was easy to choose and I like the look of mismatched only in larger groups, but that's just me.

I have my MOH in a light purple, and the other girls in a light blue. The best man will match the MOH and the other two groomsmen will match the ladies in the light blue. Our flower girl and best man will compliment the groom and myself. So excited!!

Same colour/material/length but they are choosing the style. For the men, same colour tie but if they want a design they can go for it.

My girls are wearing different styles and different colours.

Our guys will all look the same but the girls seem to like different dresses. They will all be in the same color though

Girls will wear different shade of the wedding colours but definitely complementing each other. Groomsmen will be wearing the same suits.

We just told the guys to wear a black suit. Shirt and tie colour was up to them. I told my bridesmaids they could wear whatever they want - turns out they were fairly well matched because they both had dark blue/navy dresses. I like that they didn't look exactly the same. It actually turned out really nice.
