Veil or no veil

Clarissa, on April 24, 2018 at 15:59 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 15
Hello ladies. I need your opinions on something. I was adamant that I did not want a veil and I still don’t want to wear one. However, when I found the dress i felt it looked incomplete without a veil to complete the look. We did buy the veil but I am still on the fence about it and would love some ideas of how I can complete the look without a veil.

Thank

Thanks for the ideas. I will definitely go back and try on a few different options for head pieces.

I second that the dress is stunning! I would say you have to do what feels right for you. If you're not a veil person try on some interesting head pieces to spice it up and if it still doesn't feel right then don't do it. I also once went to a wedding where the bride had her hair stylist place roses in her up do, they kind of sat amongst the curls, it was beautiful! But I would say do what feels right for you!

I LOVE the veil with that dress. I say go with it!! Just wear it for the ceremony and then take it off for the reception.

I really like the veil with the dress. It adds a bit of "wow" factor Smiley smile

I am almost always #teamveil, and the one you have on is totally beautiful and compliments your dress well. Have you tried just a birdcage veil to see if you like that look? That might be a sort of compromise

Maybe a nice head piece or a birdcage veil.

You can always go with a pretty headband or maybe a birdcage veil. A comb tucked into your hair could be very nice as well.

I've always wanted a birdcage, but my dress will have to be taken in and the woman doing the alterations will make me a custom veil out of the lace she has to cut out of the skirt, so now I don't know what to do...

Gorgeous dress, by the way! That's kinda the style I wanted, but I ended up with something completely different!

Have you thought of maybe a larger hair piece instead of a veil?

If you wear something in your hair that's a bit larger/has lace to match the dress I think that would be more than enough! Just something in your hair to match and bring the full look together is all you need! You're dress is perfect on it's own!

If you did go a veil route I think the one in the photo works well, I wouldn't get any additional lace or details on the veil it would be too much with the dress! Simple and sheet is all you would need!

First, I'm obsessed with your dress!!!!
Second, I think if you found a nice sparkly hair comb to match the belt, it would tie it together. It will also look much more cohesive when your hair is done the way you want it Smiley smile If you're on the fence, just wear it for the ceremony and maybe dinner. It does look pretty though.

I didn't consider a veil initially but my mother in law found one with matching lace. So now I have a veil. It does complete the look.

Not sure about the option of having it over my face or just tucked back the entire ceremony.

I'm with the other girls, I'm biased to the veil... I think it completes the bridal look... Even if just for the ceremony and a few photos.

However if you're really opposed to it, a beautiful head piece/tiara would work to make it look more bridal.

A nice headpiece or a tiara; maybe even big, dangly earrings?. I love the veil though (but, I'm biased towards veils!).

I agree with a niece hair piece! I’m on the hunt for one right now. I also think you’ll feel like it’s more complete with hair and makeup done.

I think the veil looks great! I agree with Alexandra though, if you don't do the veil, get some sort of hairpiece to tie the look together.

    The dress looks beautiful!

I love the veil but I’m a sucker for a good veil. I think if you don’t do the veil you should get a nice hairpiece. Something big that catches the eye.

also that dress is gorgeous and you look awesome in it. It fits you really nicely
