Hey beautiful ladies!!
Now is the time to show us that beautiful engagement ring of yours!!
Post a picture here and tell us if there's something symbolic about your ring
Yes they were all so thrilled when it finally happened so they could blab! Haha yes, both of our parents are divorced and happily re married! We've come up with our colours and theme, going for a lavender and Celtic feel as we are both Irish, we've been searching for venues and have a couple in mind! Hopefully decide on one soon haha
We have talked about it and I mentioned about rasing a family, but it's like they don't think I'm 100% ready for all that. I may be 25 and with someone for the longest time... In my parents eyes "I'm still their baby."

Hey! Another Valerie... and oddly enough emerald is my birthstone too! Your ring is GORGEOUS!!! So unique
We got engaged March 6th! So far we have a church to get married in, a pastor to marry us, the reception hall, the hall provides their own food so we have a meal picked out and desserts for after dinner. I have my dress, shoes, a hair clip, a hairstyle picked out, and I have some jewlery but I want to see it all with the dress before I choose which I like best. We have my wedding band ordered and it should have been here already so hopefully it will he here soon! We have a dj and mc booked, a photographer who has already done our engagement photos, a bakery picked out for the cake and cupcakes (still deciding on flavours and design), flowers for myself and the ladies, we have save the dates ordered that actually came in on thursday and then we are doing the same design for invites but not sure on all the details yet.. then we have the bridesmaids dresses ordered and should be here next month. I also have flower girl baskets, flower pedals for them, centerpiece idea, a seating chart idea but need to finalize my guest list, and I have table cards for the guest's names as well! I think that is everything for now
Hahahaha they all want the party and the family, but at the same time would be fun for them to contribute to this spirit Have you already talked about starting a family after your wedding?
My mom helping with preperations? Hardly... Same with the in-law (in-law could careless with what we picked as long as we get married)... Though I've been with he guy for 7 years.
--- yet my mom always jokingly asks for grandchildren.
Thank you! He brought me to Jackson Park (in the city I live) and we were just on a walk as we both enjoy walks and hikes and we got to this bridge with a gazebo over it beside some water and he just started talking about all these things he loves about me and got down on one knee! I was surprised but at the same time I wasn't! We had went out and looked at rings together and I gave him an idea of what i like so it was only a matter of time but I didn't know when it would happen so that was the surprise part as I had no idea he had even went out and got a ring!
We've only been engaged a week and a half, so pretty fresh still! I think the wedding will have a little Art Deco theme. I already have my dress and it is inspired by that period.
I think that's totally normal to be torn in between these two choices!! As most brides will remind in here (and me too), this is your big day so make sure it's what you want and not only what others want for you.
Art Deco is one of my favorite art periods so when my fiancé and I started talking about getting married I started looking up ideas. We ended up picking out this vintage 1930's beauty with emeralds, which is my birthstone. We wanted something we both liked and this was the one we both agreed on
We're together for 3 years now. Everything is almost done. Just waiting for my dress and my bridesmaids then we're set. And yeah still looking for good deals on decorations
We've been living together in Winnipeg for the past 3 years (I have been living here all my life). And yes, we do plan on celebrating in Winnipeg! Even though there has been some thought and consideration about having a destination onefor a more intimate ceremony. My mother wants extravagance, me? I'm tied between what's obtainable/realistic and the fantasy aspect of a winter wonderland.
Thank you!! I was surprised but knew it would happen at some point, he had been asking questions and dropping hints for about 4 months before haha he had taken me to breakfast were we had our first date and shopping at my fave stores as a "belated" birthday present as he had worked, then took me to a spa resort in Harrison hot springs, and fancy dinner, after dinner we went for a walk and he had a friend write "marry me" in candles then popped the question!
