Good idea! I hadn't thought of that! The locals said maybe scrub the top with some baking soda, but I'll also check to see if there's a product that I can treat them with.
Comfort all the way. My sandals still look nice, but they don't have heels nor a flat sole. And I'll easily be able to wear them again with more casual clothes.
A mix of both - i have a beautiful chunky heeled sandal that are super fun and very "me" and thankfully they are very comfortable to wear. I also have a pair of kate spade bridal keds to change into once the dancing starts.
I knew I needed to wear heels for the ceremony so I went with the comfiest heel I could.. which of course had to be name brand, so I purchased a pair of Michael Kors heels. Then, immediately after the ceremony, I kicked those bad boys off and slipped on my sparkly rose gold flats from Keds and Kate Spade. Best decision I made.
I'm going comfort for sure! I won't be wearing any shoes at all for the ceremony, and I know that once the dancing starts my shoes will come off, so I really only need some for my entrance, dinner, and first dances. I'm pretty torn, though - if I can find a nice, inexpensive pair of heels that I love I'll go with those, otherwise, it'll just be nice flats...
I guess I went for more formal.. more couture. I can wear heels pretty comfortably. I've gotten used to wearing them all the time (i even wear those hidden heel sneakers that give me an extra 3.5inches usually) as my FH is over a foot taller than me.
I looked for a shoe that really strapped to my foot for. I think I'll be able to wear these at a minimum from the ceremony until the dance floor and party really opens up (around 10PM).
Both, for ceremony & photos I have a chosen a pump heels. I wear heels regulary that I'm comfortable wearing them. But for reception, I'm wearing flats since I'll be dancing and will be on my feet most of the time.
Comfort city! 😂 I’m not a heels fan (like the look on others, not a fan of wearing them myself) so I’m doing what makes sense for me. Plus, my dress is long, our venue is partly outside with grass & hills, so flats make WAY more sense! Besides, I’ll probably ditch the shoes early on for dancing haha
I chose comfort. I hate wearing heels and thought I would wear flats, but I ended up going with these gorgeous moccasins. I live in an Aboriginal community, so I asked a local Elder to make me some for my wedding day. She hand beaded them and made them with moose hide and fox fur. They are so meaningful to me, which was better than anything I could have asked for! (I wish they weren't white though, but they were gorgeous and clean for about an hour lol)
I also had a pair of purple Hunter Rainboots for outside, since I got married in the spring and wasn't sure what the weather would be.
They are 3.5", and super adorable - they fit a bit tight (trying to stretch them out) but are generally comfortable enough to be worn for a couple hours.
I am switching to simple low wedges for the reception so I can dance all night long!
