RSVPs- Traditional or Modern?

Lynnie, on April 9, 2018 at 11:10 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 29

How will your guests be RSVPing to your wedding?

Did you decide to go with traditional paper RSVPs? Or are you taking a more modern approach with online RSVPs? You may confuse some grandparents with the change in process, but online RSVPs do the tracking work for you!

Modern paper choice as email was the only way to respond.

Will do mixed- mostly modern, the web for everyone with a few traditional paper ones for the elderly family members.

Traditional. We sent out our invitations through mail just yesterday (expensive- needed 3 stamps for each plus an extra for the RSVP.)

Both. We are doing electronic RSVPs for majority of our guests, but if I think anyone will have troubles (elderly guests, or even ones we know are technologically slow), we will be including RSVP cards for them.

90% of our guest list are on their phones all day, they can figure out how to get on our wedding website. Plus then all our information/extra details are there as well.

Modern, with half our guests living overseas we really don’t want to risk have rsvp cards. A) postage is pricey and b) they risk getting lost a lot easier.

We will most likely do both, give people the option. Also they can email us questions and get a quick response.

We did both. We sent a rsvp card in with the invitation but did not put a stamp on the return envelope. We put an information card in as well with our website on it and for the ones who want to rsvp through the website can and the ones who want to return the rsvp card can do that as well. I liked giving an option.

Modern. Originally I was against it however we thought it over and figured online is easier for us and majority of the guests, the older guests have younger family to help them or just do it for them when they do it. Plus online saves paper!
