Hi Ladies,

I have the Twisted Vine engagement ring from Brilliant Earth and was recently in a city where they have a showroom, so I went to try on some bands. I went in with the expectation of getting the matching band (either plain or the petite luxe version). However, after trying on a few different designs I'm now torn between three options. One being the plain Twisted Vine, and the others being the Wren and the Hammered Quattro. I tried sleeping on the decision, but a week later I'm still completely undecided. I need help!

Twisted Vine:

-matches engagement ring

-fiance and my mom's first choice

-looks good solo

-'bulkiest' option

-still comfortable

Wren:

-non-traditional

-looks best with engagement ring

-sits flush against engagement ring

-doesn't really looking like a 'wedding band' on its own

-one I'm leaning towards slightly more than other two

Hammered Quattro:

-matches FH's ring (he's going with a hammered ring)

-looks the best solo

-looks better in person than the photo

-doesn't match the shape of the engagement ring

Smiley ring -Maid of Honor's first choice

What are your thoughts? What did you consider/weigh when deciding what band to get?

Thanks in advance Smiley smile

I like the look of BE - Hammered Quattro (solo). It's a more traditional wedding band. For the 2 rings together you have to consider that they will rub against each other and possibly affect the metal and diamonds. Wearing the engagement ring and the wedding band together is just a modern marketing idea.

To much went into getting my wedding band.

-First I thought I wanted to wear the 2 rings together. Then I found a ring enhancement/jacket. My MIL said the problem is potential rubbing and shape changing of the ring overtime. You have to consider that you will be wearing the ring for years so it is subjected to wear. My MIL showed me a few of her white gold ring and how they had misshapen overtime. She said to go with platinum because of its solidity and how it keeps diamonds in place.

So shopped around. Decided to wear just the wedding band. We bought a platinum band that is a bit thick and has a few diamond in half the band.

Consider ring materials in your choice as well. My white gold engagement ring that I've been wearing for 6 months already scratched and got slightly misshapen.

The Wren for sure! Do you have a picture of it alone without your engagement ring?

My favourite is the wren! I do like how the hammered one would match your husbands, but I really like the look of the wren with the engagement ring

Wren looks the best with your engagement ring and fits better with it than the twisted vine. Like some of the others said, how often, if ever, would you be wearing your band without the engagement ring?

How often are you planning on wearing your band on it's own? I think even though it's not traditional, the Wren band looks most unique on its own.

With the engagement ring, Wren is my top choice.... then it would be the Twisted Vine... Honestly, the Hammered Quattro is too plain (for my taste), and reminds me of a man's wedding band... Which isn't a bad thing if you like the sleek look.

Personally I'd go with Wren... and no matter what anyone here says, or other opinions, go with the one your gut says... it's your ring, you'll be wearing it every day.

I went with the complete opposite of you!! 😂😂😂😂 My Engagement Ring (Which my FH Picked is Plain Single Round Solitaire and My Wedding Band is Twisted Rope with Pave. (It’s a stackable ring, I picked) We compromised. I absolutely love it! Also something Non-Traditional, but has meaning. Smiley smile It’s your wedding band you’re going to be wearing for the rest of your life, not them! Go with the one you love!
