We wanted to wait until 2019 (we got engaged on October 26, 2017) because there is a few major family events in 2018 and to save up funds. We started dating on October 13 so we picked a date in between: October 19, 2019 (or 10/19/19).

So we started dating June 4th of 2013 he proposed June 24th 2017 and we’re getting married may 25th 2019. We decided on that week because pretty much everyone in my family got married that week and no one has the 25th yet. Also the weather tends to be nice and not too hot Smiley smile

For us it was the venue that kind of dictated when we could. we had a few dates to choose from. I wanted a fall wedding and we decided a long weekend in September to give guests time to travel.

We have 2-3 different dates in mind, in case our venue is not available. We wanted something at the end of August or beginning of September. We'll see what's available and go from there.

It was a pretty easy 3 minute conversation , my fiancée and I wanted it during summer after June 21 (our anniversary is on June 20th ) so decided to do July 21st because it is close to our actual dating anniversary and allows guests to plan other vacations before or after the wedding.

We wanted a summer wedding since I have a lot of out-of-town guests. There was only one Saturday remaining at the venue we wanted. And, it was two days before our dating anniversary. Our other option for that venue was the Sunday night of a long weekend.

We both wanted a summer wedding and we love the month of August! We also liked having a day where nobody else's birthday or anniversary was the same day, so the day is special to us!

We picked September as we both like the fall and all the colours and cooler temperatures. We were originally going to be married on the 23rd but all the hotels were booked that weekend so we went for the one after a d that's how we ended up with the 30th.

We wanted to keep our anniversary around the same time as our dating anniversary so we could still celebrate it and keep it in our favourite season (fall). We were looking at Saturdays in the year we wanted to get married and ended up choosing a date that was 5 years and 1 day after our first date! (11/11/11) We loved that it held so much meaning for us and whenever we celebrate our wedding anniversary, we will also be celebrating the day we first met! We made sure that the officiant mentioned the significance of the date in our ceremony.

Because i have a lot of family living in northern Manitoba who would have to drive down, it really could only be held between may long and October 1. We didn't want to wait a year to get married and the venue had a couple of days in September available. I have a crazy work schedule for one of those weeks so I picked the first available Saturday after it. It was actually easy that way. I don't know how I'd choose if I had a blank slate.

I'm a student, so we couldn't get married during the school year, and our venue is at a summer camp, so we couldn't get married while they're running their program. My mother is a teacher, so we decided to pick a long weekend. That way it will be easier for her to help out. So we decided on May 20, which also happens to be my parents' anniversary!

The fall is my favourite season, and we both always pictured getting married in the fall! So that is how we picked the time of year. As for the specific date, originally we had wanted October, but the date we wanted happened to fall on Thanksgiving weekend, so we couldnt do that, we didnt want to do it too late in October, and his parents wedding anniversary was another date in October, so we decided on September 30, as it is still summery/fall weather and pretty with the leaves changing!

    His birthday is 6-6
    My birthday is 7-5
And our wedding date is 8-4
It's a weird numbers thing, but I thought it was unique. Haha. Other than that, no real reason for the date.

We wanted a time of year when it is not too hot (although Ontario weather is unpredictable). My good friend who is one of my maids of honor is a marine biologist and is always out in her boat doing research in August (she has a really cool job!), so we picked September because it works for her and fits our requirement of not too hot Smiley smile We checked around with our families first and the date worked for everyone so that was that, September 17th! Since we are getting married on a Sunday (during the day), our venue was wide open and we could choose any date that we wanted so that really helped.

Autumn is our favourite season and 14 is our number which is cheesey I know. But our first date was March 14th, my birthday is the 14th of December. The seats we had on our first date were seats 13 and 14, our first apartment just happened to be 14 lol so it's pretty significant. October 14th was just perfect for us! We also got engaged October 14th so our wedding is exactly one year apart from our engagement.

We knew the time of year we wanted, but not the exact date. After we found the venue we wanted, we picked based on availability and pricing. We chose the weekend before their "high season" starts and prices for everything go up for the summer. Also, my FH is a shift worker and has every other weekend off so we had to choose a weekend he wasn't scheduled to work.

It was August 8 and it was a Tuesday. I picked it because we met July 8th, but his daughters bday is in July too and I didn't want to take away from her birthday month. His bday is in June, and mines in September. August was in between!

The top reason was availability. We wanted nice weather but not too hot so we picked September 24th. Plus, all the leaves are changing and we love the colour. The venue had November openings but it's so dark and dreary at that time of year.
