Overtime hours are like having a second job!

Bit it by bit. Day by day. We’ll figure it out.

We had a surplus of savings already, as well as we get direct withdrawal weekly from our accounts into a shared wedding savings account. We also started spending less.

My fiancé and I have lived together for afew years now and pretty much set a date 11 months away, went into it a little blindly if you consider that we’ve been engaged for three years lol. We’re basically trying to budget off of each check and just taking it as we go. I may decide to get a small loan to cover afew vendors depending on how the next two months go, but either way I’m confident that it’ll all work out Smiley smile

I totally agree! I don’t live with my FH yet either, and it’s so easy to save money, except for the paying for uni part, lol 😝

We’ve been putting aside part of our pay checks each week. We also have had find the joker fundraisers and a food sale. We don’t plan on having a stag & doe, so we will continue to save.

We set aside some money, did some DIY stuff, did lots of research into vendors and also our parents contributed.

My fiance and I are saving by not living together. I mean it's mostly for religious and cultural reasons, but it has also allowed us to save a TON of money, since we're both living with our parents rent free. And I just finished paying for university.

We also never buy anything new that we don't absolutly need, and stopped going out for dinner. The only thing we spend on is gasoline, and basic things like food and toiletries for ourselves. Life is easy when mom and dad pay the bills lol Smiley winking

We’ve been engaged for a while so we would put aside money every month and let it gain interest. Now both of our parents have given us money so we put that together with our savings and just letting that grow in the bank. We also took half of our tax return money and put that away, along with having two yardsales!

Nothing too different. I've been saving up for a year by putting a certain amount of my paycheck into a separate account. Then, my fiance and I opened an account together so I moved all my money into that one. It gains a little more interest. My fiance did get a second job at one point, but then he got a new full-time job which paid more so he dropped the second job. Both of our parents have also agreed to contribute.

We had a surplus of money saved but are also saving and paying as well. My mom is giving us a big chunk for the wedding and offered to pay half of my 1st dress as it was pricey. Luckily for me I just got a new job that is a huge pay jump so that will help with savings, but also I picked up a casual second job for extra savings as well. It will all be so worth it!

We're using a tax free savings account and having money directly put in. I'm also trying to put money into my savings account each pay. I wish we could pay weekly towards some services. Our hall is expecting us to pay the total before the wedding. One of the reasons I wanted to choose another venue that allowed post wedding payment option. But we don't have that option so I'm cutting back on shoe shopping lol.

We've been paying vendors weekly when we get paid so that way we don't accidentally use it. It also helps at the end so we don't worry about paying everyone at once.
We are also limiting eating out and having leisure fun to save up more.

I’ve been using my tax free savings account and saving money each pay cheque and my fiancé uses his savings account and does the same thing. He’s cut back a little on buying truck parts lol so that’s helped a bit. We definitely try not to eat out very often either.

We are taking a portion of each pay check and putting it into a savings account... so what we normally do. Smiley smile We are also fortunate that my dad was very generous and offered to pay pretty much half our costs.

We have a Tax free savings account we have been putting money into. We also made a good portion of money from our Stag & Doe and recently received a huge tax rebate! We are debt free when it comes to the wedding right now... until after the wedding day that is and then we have to pay the venue expenses.

We are dumping a chunk of money into our joint savings account at each paycheck. We've also received a lump sum from both our parents, which we're treating like a loan. So we'll be using it towards the money, but will "pay it back" to ourselves in order to put that money on a down payment after the wedding!

Not really saving money, but...we have decided that we want to pay for things as we go. By the time our wedding day comes around, we are hoping to only have to pay out tips, and for day of costs (hair, makeup, shaves, etc). That's forcing us to use some of our regular monthly budget towards the costs of the wedding; this way we are not going into debt for it.

So I guess in a way, we are curbing some of our regular 'fun' spending because we have to use it to pre pay for the wedding right now. But it doesn't feel that way!
