Has anyone done their own hair/makeup?

We are having a destination wedding and I would like to do my own make up. My hair will be done at the resort only because I am terrible with my hair.
Any help with makeup would be greatly appreciated because I'm not fantatsic at makeup but I can hold my own. Lol

I am going for a rustic but with elegance look? If that makes any sense? I think all the girls are doing their own makeup, we are all students so my budget is pretty much non existent! Yes I have it is a floral lace very lightweight strapless gown.

I usually go to Sephora and try a few products, and wait a full day to see how they hold up, and buy if I like the result. If you bring pictures on your phone of looks you like I find they are usually pretty helpful with colour matching.

Try out the Photo Finish one! I love it. The next one I want to try is a Laura Mercier one that I tested at the store. I want to by it and give it a good test run- it gets great reviews.

Sounds like we have similar skin- I suggest setting yourf oundation with powder before the spray too. And you can use oil sheets and powder to keep things fresh throughout the day.

I have tried the NYX setting spray and it works fairly well. Was looking into the All Nighter setting spray but I am stumped on a primer! I have fairly normal skin but makeup just kind of vanishes half way through the day.

Definitely a natural "amped up" look, I don't wear a lot of makeup to begin with.

I'm planning on doing my own make up for my wedding...I'm a make up junkie, trying to save money, and perhaps have too much faith in my own skills!

Do you have a good primer and setting spray? Those will be key for flawless look and staying power! I Love the photofinish primer smashbox makes, and urban decay finishing spray- they make a couple kinds depending on skin type.

What kind of look are you going for?
