Hey future brides
If you're looking to do your own makeup on your wedding day, here are a few tips you will like to make sure you are absolutely ready for the big day!
1. Don't buy all new makeup
If you already have makeup products that work perfectly with your skin, why should you change it? Go for what works best for you.
2. Take care of your skin
Make sure to have a healthy beauty routine that leaves your skin clean and moisturiazed for the big day.

Use oil-free products over your face and make sure to use a thicker cream around your eyes.
3. Use a primer
It is strongly recommended to use a silicone-free primer to keep your foundation in place. Apply it after moisturizing your skin and before applying your foundation.
You can also use primer on your eyelids, which will prevent your eye makeup to slip off and settle into the eyelid's crease.
4. Look for long-wear products
This is probably going to be a long and quite emotional day, make sure your mascara is prepared to live this day with you fully.
5. Choose matte and natural
Choose a powder palette that looks natural and blends well with your skin tone.
To avoid a shiny face, choose a matte formula for most of your makeup. You can then use a highliter to highlight your cheekbones and other areas of your face that naturally catch light like above your cupid's bow, in the middle of your chin, and over your brow bone.
6. Blend your foundation
Blend your foundation past the jawline down onto your neck and chest. Make sure there aren't any harsh lines from foundation or contouring.
7. Do makeup trials and take pictures
Try on different styles that fit with your personality and ask people for feedback.
Remember you can always count on the community for that. You can create a discussion anytime to ask for our advice and opinion on your trials.
