    A. It happens. Usually there's a good reason. This will be my second wedding (for goof reason) and we're keeping it small anyways. Not a biggie if someone says they can't come.

I would be sad but I am more worried about the opposite "surprise guests" who RSVP they cannot attend and show up at the dinner which is assigned seating and plated.

As we are having a destination wedding some friends and some relatives told others (not us but we heard through others) that if they find a cheap last minute deal the will "surprise us" on our wedding and show up.

What would you do in this case?

I would be a combination. A bit sad they couldn't make it. If they had a good reason (sick, death etc) I would be alright with it. If they didn't have a good reason I would be so mad I had to pay for the per person count and they were ditching

B - I would be sad, it may happen to us, 2 of my guests are due to deliver their children within a week of the wedding so the possibility that they go into labour just before the wedding is a definite possibility.

I would probably be B if a couple people cancel. But C if a handful of people cancel.. We have to pay for everyone's dinners at least a week in advance. If they don't come I've still paid for their dinner at a 5 star hotel Smiley sad

B... I would be sad if a guest couldn't make it the day before the wedding, but in reality we can't control it so why let it ruin the day.

Probably B, I'm sure they wouldn't do it unless they had a good reason but we would miss them as our guests are family and good friends
