Give me your feedback! Entry Table

Courtney, on January 31, 2018 at 18:03 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 18

I'm starting to put my idea for my entry table together and would love some feedback.

This is where I'm at. Let me know if you think its missing anything. Keep in mind I don't have a big enough table at home.. so I had to add an area. It will all end up on the same table.. and have better lighting.

I like the look! My only thought is some people will want to hover around the seating chart, and some people will want to take their time signing the globe, so I would probably put them further apart. I don't know what you would put in its place though...

I think a few tasteful flowers in your color/colors would look wonderful. I would also suggest some lights, candles or fairy light. Just enough to really highlight the feeling of mystery and adventure.

I would also lock your box and make an opening in it, especially if there are children at the wedding.

Other then that, this is a wonderful entry table.. I think I will be taking some ideas from this if you don't mind.

Maybe some flowers for pops of colour? Our gust book was a globe as well! Very similar feel.

I love the mailbox lol! If you two have travelled together a lot you could put one of those scratch off maps of all the places you have been on the table

I like tour mailbox. I was thinking of doing one as well. But this one doesn’t open without a screw driver. This way we can loose anything inside. We might make it ourselves, not sure yet.
I like the pictures but like the others I’d put it somewhere else away from the entrance. Best of luck

The picture frame is actually our seating chart. Just have a couple pictures in empty spaces.

Its nice yet bit much on the table. Sweet and simple is how i have seen.

I set the entry table with name cards, money box, heaven note and guest book.

Cute!!! I was planning ours in my head today and I ended up taking some notes. I agree with Michelle, I would keep the first table very basic so that people can flow in, without creating a lineup. Card holder, guestbook. Keep the collage frame for another area if possible. You could add some greenery/fairy lights to add some softness. I just bought some small bird cages and crates from the dollarstore recently. We plan on painting them and having them on our entry table.

Thanks! We're going for simple, and classic vintage with wood tones (basically thats what our venue is lol)

I'm thinking of maybe scattering some photos around the venue. May one or two on each table, some by the bar one. Or have a full on slideshow! haha

    Yup agreed!

I was at a wedding where they had a poster collage out of the bride and groom ranging ALL ages and many of us stood and admired the pictures for a long time! So that was something that I did a mental note for myself NOT to do.

Ah that's a really good point! Okay I won't add anything else. I am sort of minimalistic but you see these crazy set ups on instagram.

Love it! Simple is good, I find you don't want too many things on the entry table or guests will linger there for longer periods of time than intended at the start and it holds up the timing for them to find their seats and then holds up the start of the dinner sometimes.
