Getting the rsvp website function to work?

Maecantos, on December 28, 2016 at 14:21 Posted in Tech support 0 7

Hello everyone - don't know how to work the RSVP option when creating our wedding website using weddingwire.ca. I have all the contact info on an Excel spreadsheet but don't know how to upload or edit it. Also, will it keep track of people who respond and questions/comments? We added song requests on our paper RSVPs, is there's a way to capture that information on the website RSVP?

Thanks and happy planning!

M

Hi Laura - I'm going to follow what some other brides have mentioned and direct people to the comments section for allergies and song requests. Thanks for your help! Mae

Yes - people have already started adding their song requests to the comments page. I will ask for people to list food restrictions and song requests on the comments page when they RSVP. Thanks Valerie!

Hi Maecantos, welcome to WW Canada Smiley shame

Im very happy to see you in the Community, we are here to help each other with the wedding preparations. So, here is how to import your wedding guests step by step:

Sinci yu already have your Excel spreadsheet its important yo fill out the template with your guests' information, without changing the first row of the spreadsheet:

Make sure to enable the document to edit it (you'll see a pop up).

Fill out the template with your guests' information. Don't change the first row of the spreadsheet.

Once you're finished adding guests, next step is to import the template >> https://www.weddingwire.ca/tools/GuestsImport

    Import guests

Laura is correct, you should be able to upload your spreadsheet and just tweak a few things to make sure it all uploaded correctly.

As for song request or allergies, I am just making a note on our RSVP card to leave a comment with any dietary requests (there's a comment box when they RSVP through the website). The comments aren't saved with the RSVPs but I just add them in as RSVPs come through.

I uploaded my spreadsheet in the My Guests section under my weddingand it captured most of the information I just had some updating and linking to do and I believe it is linked to you website. I think to add things like song requests and allergies you just make a new page when you are editing you website
