Sonja, on August 14, 2017 at 23:38 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 71

How many months (or years) from the time you got engaged to your wedding day? Nine months for me.

We got engaged at the end of Oct 2017, and our wedding date is April 2019, so about a year and 5 months. Can't wait!!

My husband and i were pratically enegaged when i moved in with him. May 2014 and met November 2013. Wedding was August 25, 2017. Time frame is 18 months since he wanted a wedding over court service. No engagement ring since we went for the wedding bands at a sale price.

Hi Laura, It's coming up quickly! Did you have any down time during your engagement, or was it constant wedding stuff?

Hi Joey, You were smart to get those initial things out of the way. With the break, I'm sure the planning didn't seem so stressful.

For us it was a little under 2 years. We booked the big things right away (dress, caterer, venue, photographer), then took a long time off and just enjoyed being engaged and going about our normal lives, and resumed planning later on.

Kept it small, to 50 ppl. Spent every spare minute planning, and relied on a lot of help from my husband and bridesmaids!

Hi Shelby, I think you've won the title for the longest engagement, at least in this discussion. Excellent life planning. You've got everything you need now and you can focus on the wedding, your marriage, and potential children.

From the time we got engaged to the time we will be getting married is just over 4 years. In that time it was important to us that we both finished our university degrees and trades tickets and bought a house.

Hi Samantha, sometimes things don't fall into place as quickly as we'd like them to. I think, so far, you have the longest engagement of the ladies that responded. Were you waiting to save money, or finish school?

Hey Kayla, Were you rushed to get everything done in 10 months or do you have time to spare? What date is your wedding in September? Mine is Sept. 24 and I'm feeling pretty good about what I've accomplished this far.
