Hi Samtam, Yes the time passes so quickly. You had quite a long engagement. Did you find that you got everything done early or were you crunched for time at the end?
Hi Vanessa, I can understand how you'd want to have your wedding in August. My matron of honour was a teacher and so is her husband. They got married a couple of days before Christmas when the winter break started. I'm also in education, but privately. I'm a reading/dyslexia therapist in private practice. I'll be taking 2 weeks off from Sept. 23 to Thanksgiving Monday. That's the beauty of working for yourself!
Hey, Alanah. I don't feel like I have most of it done. It seems like I get one project finished and there are 10 more waiting for me to start. But it is a lot of fun making your own things and it saves a lot of money as well. What you don't pay for with cash you pay for in time.

I know how you feel lol it's all I can think about all day everyday. I'm doing a lot myself as well it makes for a lot of hours put in. Sounds like you have most of it done and your wedding day is fast approaching, I'm sure you're excited to see it all come together
Just over 13 months. I wanted an October wedding but my fiancé talked me into having an August wedding with my job as an EA not allowing me to take time off of work other than the time allotted like the kids (which isn't necessarily a bad thing).
Chloe, that's pretty efficient, planning a wedding before the engagement. All I did was buy my dress ahead of time. Have you stuck to the plan or have you changed things as time went on?
Hi Lesley, That's just like us!! We got engaged the week before Christmas and are tying the knot on September 24! Have you found it challenging to get everything done?
Just over 24 months for us. We wanted to take our time with everything so that we weren't overly stressed through it, didn't totally work but oh well aha.

28 months! We got engaged in May 2015, and we are getting married September 2017!
Hi Rekramer, I remember that you just got your dress. I actually bought mine months before he proposed! I didn't buy a formal gown. I wanted something I could wear again so being plus sized, I went to Penningtons and found a lovely off-white lace dress. It was perfect for me. How far are you with your planning?
21 months... Got engaged november 2016. Knew we wanted a summer wedding but i was moving away for my final semester of university jan this year and we didnt want to plan a wedding long distance and in 6 months so we opted to wait until summer 2018.
Hi Alanah, I do something "wedding" every day. I made a lot of my things; 3 tier card box, place cards, menus, bouquets, centrepieces, seating chart, decorated candle holders and my guest book, favours with special cards for everyone, and I'll be making my own wedding cake. All I think about is wedding stuff!
Hi Sasha, I think it was easier because I did most of it myself. No arguing among parents and bridesmaids makes it a breeze. My fiancé helped choose the venue and the meal, but I did all the rest.
