Did you pick your date or your venue first??

We picked out date based on our venue availability! We fell in love with the venue and knew we would be planning around it!

We had a few dates in mind and ranked them. Our venue ended up having all of them available since we're getting married in off season, so we were able to get our first choice date as well.

We have the venue booked and date picked first we went with June 15 as our anniversary is may 15 but it didn’t fall on a Saturday so June 15th it was. We chose Elora mill as it just screamed to us and is everything we are as a couple.

We fell in love with a venue and they only had one Saturday left in the summer. So, that determined our date!

We chose them both at the same time, we knew the month we wanted but wasn't sure which weekend. So we went with venues advice in the end.

We picked them together! We had a general idea of what date we wanted and when we approached venues we compromised based on what was available. Thankfully we were able to get our first pick-venue with our first-pick date!

We choose the date first. Our dating anniversary is June 19, engagement anniversary is June 18. We wanted a warm wedding but didn't want too hot so June will be perfect. June 1st is a Saturday and it is perfect for us!

We knew what month we wanted (May) and then booked the venue and went with the Saturday they had available

We wanted a specific venue with a specific photographer so that influenced our date choice for sure!

We picked the date first then we were looking for availability place for the venue. Mine will be close to another 1.5 years from now. So I have plenty of options. The only challenge I have is planning a wedding from remote. I am in Vancouver and the wedding will be in Gatineau, QC.

Our venue definitely dictated our specific date, but we had a time frame in mind.

We both always discussed a June wedding (before it gets TOO hot) and did not want anything in the fall as both our birthdays are in the fall and Christmas shortly after.. we wanted something in the other half of the year!

My dad then told us as soon as we got married he was going to be away in June 2018 for 2 weeks which left us 1 june date to pick.. and our dream venue wasn't able that day! So we are now getting married early July.

We had an idea of when we wanted to get married (end of August, beginning of September but avoiding the long weekend), before we settled on the venue. Once we had the venue, then we decided on a date.

We had a top three dates then went to book the venue, they ended up having out number one date but we could have always changed if they were busy, we were more interested in getting the right venue than date!
