Dealing with guests who insist on a plus one

How do y'all deal with this ?? We are only giving plus ones to couples we know ! It's really starting to bother me

    I agree with both Emilie and Daphne. It's a tricky spot! I think patience, politeness and diplomacy will be your best bet in dealing with this issue. Hopefully people will understand and still have a great time at the wedding.

Smiley atonished I think the best is to explain that you have a budget to respect and that for this reason you have decided to only have a few plus ones.     That's a tricky one because no matter how you handle it, some will get insulted and may just decline the invite altogether. I would be very polite and be honest as to why the invite was only for them and why no plus one.
