Will you have bridemaids? How many?

I think I will have 3 in total; my sister as MOH, my best friend and FSIL as my bridesmaids. My sister is significantly younger than me, and so I really would love for my bestie to be co-MOH, but that would really upset my sister, and maybe awkward for the FSIL. Choosing a 4th girl for the sake of having an even-numbered bridal party was too difficult!

I have 1 MOH my sister and 3 bridesmaids my daughter, my niece and my FH niece. I am also having a flower girl FH little niece.

I am going to have 1 MOH and 3 bridesmaids. I'm asking fiance's sister to be my MOH and 2 friends and my sister for the bridesmaids.

I am finding people are surprised that I have 5 and think I should have less... has anyone else had a hard time with people telling them their opinions about their wedding party?

We decided not to have any. Our wedding is small (30 people) so it's kind of like everyone is in the wedding party! I think it's really nice to have them, but in the end we decided that since we are having so few guests, we don't want like a quarter of them standing at the front. My sister and brother will particiapate in the ceremony by doing readings and I'll have my oldest friend as my witness and same for my FH so I still feel like they will have a special part in our day.

I have my 3 daughters, my sister, 2 good friends, my niece and my cousin ~ 8. My middle daughter has special needs(Autistic) and has major anxiety issues always included but she will likely become overwhelmed and may not want to participate and that's ok.
