I went to my appointments with my mom and sister. I was at my breaking point and ready to go to my last appointment alone but it turned out my sister had the day off, so I invited her and we found my dress. I brought my mom in later that day to see it before we got it Smiley smile

Went to one appointment with my mom, who's my bestie, then went to the second appointment with my mom, his mom, his sister (my MOH), and a friend. Would definitely recommend going to your first appt. with a smaller group, but that being said, my future MIL was really touched that I included her.

I will likely be doing the same, but alternating sisters as one lives about 1-1.5 hours away, whereas the other lives in the same city that I do (as does my mom).

I feel bad for not inviting my BFF and other 1-2 really close friends, but I don’t want any opinions forced on me or pressure to spend more than I intend to. I know myself best, and even if I won’t be influenced, I could see it bothering me so I’d rather avoid it and enjoy the experience!

I went with just my mom and my sister. They know me best and I knew they would be completely honest with me when choosing my dress.

I'm just going to be bringing my mom. My sister lives far away and my best friend is pretty anti-fashion. I'll probably start looking for dresses in the next month or so and my mom will be the best companion for that. We have similar body types and she knows what looks good on my shape.

I *brought* my mom (and dad to one shop) dress shopping.

I wanted to bring bridesmaids too but they live all over and they'd have to fly to get to me. They are all busy with jobs/school/life so I took pictures of the dress and sent it to all of them!

I wanted less so I wouldn't have multiple opinions fired at me at once lol

I can now say I *Brought*:

My mom, dad, sister(MOH), Baba and FMIL.

I feel like my mom, dad, and sister were a no-brainer and don't really need a reason other than I lived in the same house with them for almost 21 years so we are close?? But...?

As for my Baba - I chose her to come with me because not only is she my only living grandparent but me and my sister are her only grandchildren and I'm the first to get married so it's a pretty big deal. Oh, and she is a seamstress as well as a florist so weddings are kind of something she knows a thing or two about Smiley tongue

Why my FMIL? Well, she is going to be my mom soon enough and I saw it as an opportunity to get closer to her and create a memory. Plus she has 2 kids - one being my FH, and the other being her daughter. I just don't know if I see her getting married or having kids (she has a few mental disabilities that would suggest it wouldn't be the best decision).

All in all, I'm glad I brought who I brought Smiley smile

My mom, my sister (MOH), half sister (bridesmaid), FMIL, and FH's brother's gf (bridesmaid).

Essentially moms & bridesmaids.... because they are the most important women in my life!

I went by myself once to get the jitters out, and to actually have tried a dress on before stepping out in front of a group of people. It really helped give me some perspective for myself before I got opinions.
