I brought my FMIL (she has two boys) and she was SO SO happy to come because she never thought she'd get the chance for this.

If you have a good relationship with her I would say go for it!

Family. Already bought my dress. A couple appointments I went to solo. My mom came to one with me here in the city, and I went to a dress shop down where she lived (about hour drive) to go to an appointment with her and my sister/MOH.

I will have my mom and MOH. Still debating bringing my FMIL since the FH is an only child so she'll never have the chance to go dress shopping with anyone. Maybe get an idea of something for her as well.

Just my mom. Wanted to keep it simple and not have too many opinions to overwhelm

I will be going with my mom and sister, haven't decided if I want to invite my FH's mom, I still have moments where she makes me want to drink a lot of alcohol!!

I might go by myself to see what is out there and then take my mom, FMIL, and friends to get opinions.

I'm thinking to go alone for my first time. I have appointments booked for Sept 2019. I love shopping and most of the time, I go alone (for regular clothes, shoes etc). My family, MOH and most bridesmaids are all out of the country. I only have 1 bridesmaid here in Canada, a cousin. I'm still thinking whether to take her with me or not. FMIL is also here.

But I'm thinking to go alone first, shortlist what I want, then bring them on the second appointment to ask for their opinions. And probably send pics to my mom and sister. Just not sure how awkward will be at the shop when I go alone because from what I know most brides come with a few people or a group!

It was just my mom and sister who went with me.

I know everyone always says you should limit how many people you bring dress shopping with you, but I've asked some of my wedding party, my mom and my mother in law to come to my first appointment. I'm not expecting to find the dress on the first try, so I will be limiting the party for any future appointments but I wanted to have my nearest and dearest along for the experience.

I originally wanted to go just with my MOH or even by myself but ended up going with my mom, my aunt, my fiances aunt and my MOH. Altho i did invite my FMIL and my grandmother but they couldnt make it.

A bit of both. 2 family (mom and mil), 2 friends (bridesmaids)

My fiancée and I went together. She isn’t wearing a dress but her opinion was the only one that mattered to me when it came to my dress.

Family. I went with my dad and stepmom.

I took my mom, grandma, two sisters, niece and two friends (bridesmaids). My mother in law was suppose to come but she had to work unfortunately.

I went to a couple end of season trunk shows, just to see what was out there and get the salon experience without making appointments. For one I brought my mom, my mother-in-law, my MOH and her mom (who’s a second mom to me), this was overwhelming & it got ridiculous and no one was listening to me, but in retrospect I appreciate the experience. I ended up finding my dress online, but it was out of my budget & a friend of mine (who’s a seamstress) offered to make me something similar but within my budget.

I just went with my mom. My MOH was invited but she was either out of town or busy that day. I knew she probably wouldn't be able to make it, but she appreciated the invite.

I didn’t go shopping. First it was with a friend to introduce me to the seamstress and get my measurements. After that all my follow up appointments were by myself. To be honest I kinda like it.

My mom, sister, and grandma came with me once and then I went by myself which was the best decision I made.

Friend - I asked 1 friend to come with me. It was perfect.

I went with just family - my mom and my sister!

My family were the only ones to went dress shopping. My step mom and my niece were the only ones.
