Who said I love you first?

It was him, about a week after our first date. He was so scared saying it would frighten me off so he kept blabbering after. I just smiled and said I love you too.

He told me 6 months after we were dating. It was \Mother's Day weekend we spent Saturday with his mom and Sunday with my mom we were in the car and we were stopped at a red light he took my hand and told me that he loved me.

He actually did, because I was scared shitless to lol ... I had been heart broken in the past and hadent loved since my sons father so it was a big step for me to let someone in ... and boy and I glad I did

He did, it was super sweet (on his part not on mine...the man is a bit of a saint to put up with me.) On my birthday, after we got back from supper, he took my hand and said that he knew I wasn't ready but he really needed to tell me and then said that he loved me. I said thank you and then proceeded to burst into tears (I had some trust issues.) I was going to Maui with family the next day I think and he wanted to tell me before I left. I think I told him I loved him after I got back 2 weeks later and he told me he knew.

He did like the day after meeting me lol

I did say it back we were dating about 3 months

I think he was so shy to say it in waking hours, that yes I suspect he was hoping I heard him as I drifted off to sleep! I don't think he was surprised that I said it back, just very happy!

Awww! That's such a beautiful story! If it made the distance, it was definitely meant to be! Long distance have a such a romantic aspect to it but can also be so difficult at times.... from my experience How long did it take before you met for the first time in person?

How did it go when he met your parents?

He would wait for me to fall asleep (at least he thought I was asleep!) and would whisper "I love you" everynight. It made me warm and fuzzy! I then worked up the courage to turn to him one night and say "I love you too"

Through the online dating portion back in ****, it was him. I felt uneasy at first because he wasn't exactly my type that first the puzzle piece to my standards as mine was way way way way high up there. I had to raise the bar since my counsellor in high school told me to make a list for my ideal man since I was too hung up on my crushes back then.

Anyways, I wasn't really looking to settle with someone... Then part of me gave him the benefit of the doubt and I accepted it and I balled my eyes out at 4am because it felt like the weight of lonliness has been lifted. He really took things seriously with the whole long distance relationship thing. We'd MSN every day, YES MSN! Then I'd call him months later for 2 hours each month just to hear each other's voice, and cry over the phone with the lovely things we'd write to each other... Yeah. Good times.

In person when we finally met, it was still him who said it first when I looked up at him in my Santa hat because I'm a small person (5'0").

It was actually funny because we said it at the same time lol . I guess in the moment we wanted to say it but talked at the same time then we laughed . It was cute

He said I love you first and then I said that I love him back!

He did the very first night we were dating, all I could say was okay. I didn't want to lie and say it back, he still makes fun of my for it

He did… he just threw it out there all non-chalant and then moved on with whatever we were talking about /doing at the time and ruined any window for me to say it back. I had to wait like 3 days before I could throw it out there as non-chalant as him (I couldn't let him win by being cooler about it than me! haha). I still jokingly yell at him about it when it comes up

He did. We were on our way to meet my parents for the first time, and I was being goofy and he accidentally turned around and said "that's why I love you". It caught me off guard so much that I sat the remainder of the 4 hour car ride wondering if he meant it, or if it was just a figure of speech. When we got to my parents I asked if he meant what he said and he did, at which point I told him that I loved him to. Any time we get into an "I love you more" fight, it has turned into a joke and he uses it against me to win the fight lol.

He did- and I cried. (and said it back) it was very nice, as we had waiting for true feelings. It felt very authentic and real.
