    We booked our venue first.
    We had it reserved as first right of refusal and then got notice that another couple was interested in our date.
    It was booked with the week.
    I think we got a WW discount too!

    We "booked" our venue. My uncle suggested and offered his property about a week after we got engaged and we jumped at the chance.
