First we chose the basic colour names as "purple" and "blue". Then after we decided on a rustic theme we started looking into hues of purple and blue to get the right shades for the theme.

I knew our colours would have some sort of purple in it, but we actually chose our wedding decor style before finalizing colours.

Color palette! I have no style, but I know what colors I like lol. Eventually things fell into place and the style turned out to be elegant romance.

Both just kind of fell into place when I was shopping around.

Decorative style. This is something I've been having so much trouble with because I couldn't decide on colours (I love everything) and I didn't know exactly what I wanted in terms of style. Now I can finally and confidently say my style is a mix of modern and rustic.

Colour and our decor came kind of in the same conversation, so both? lol

I had a colour scheme way before with a peacock "style" (which is kind of a style but not quite on its own). Then as we've been planning, it morphed from modern, to elegant/vintage. It's more elegant than vintage, but will definitely have some vintage features such as my birdcage veil and bird cage cardbox.

This sort of happened organically together.

I always knew I wanted fairly neutral colours with a little splash of yellow or something and my decor is pretty minimal.

Colour scheme. I had actually wanted orange and blue long before I met my fiancé!

I guess a style more. We knew our venue was old farm property and the reception was in a barn so we wanted a more laid back feel.

Decor, then color. I wanted something simple and modern to put in a rustic-ish venue. We decided to go with an industrial spin on tropical decor. We'll have tropical foliage and a few pink flowers (all fake, to save money) with gold or copper accents.

Decor style for sure. We knew we wanted rustic, wood, soft lights, with a formal air to it... we didn't choose our accent colour til we went suit browsing with my groom. He thought he wanted purple, but he ended up liking navy way more. So we are going simple, black, white, navy and a touch of silver/sparkle.

We chose our colour very early on. I wouldn't say we have a theme per se, but we chose to incorporate buttons in our invitations and centrepieces based on a pun.
