When you tell your friends you're engaged

We told our friends after telli g our families.

I got engaged the day of my birthday party!

It was great cause I got to be with my friends and family. There were a lot of hugs and a lot of champagne.

I called most of them right away! Some of them live in Ontario and so I had to text first to make sure they would be awake, as it was 8:00 our time.The most common response was "finally!"

They were excited!! They were all happy! They were waiting too lol

I was in Vegas when it happened and everyone I told was like this! My daughter I waited until I was back as she was visiting with her father and when she seen the ring she said "FINALLY!" She's 9!

Yes most of the people I told were also on the phone but my mom was like this when I went over to her place just after it happened.

Very excited But unfortunately I had to tell them by phone cause they all are far away

I wasn't that excited. I was but I didn't want to hear ppls opinions. None of my friends are married or engaged or even in serious relationships most of them, he's a lot older, and we dated for less than a year. I'm confident in our abilities to have a strong, healthy relationship. I didn't want to hear anyone doubt that. I should have had more faith in my friends cuz everyone was extremely happy and supportive.

Everyone knew he was going to propose. Even though he was good about not telling me he told everyone else haha.

I called my mom first and she said she's been keeping the secret for three months and was so happy to finally talk about it. We both cried!

After I called the rest of my family, I posted a picture on Instagram... for the next two or so hours my phone was blowing up. I was a nice feeling to hear everyones sweet and supportive words about the two of us together.

We called his family first. They were all excited (with the exception of his sister whom still isn't happy about it). Lots of people responded when we changed our Facebook statuses as well.

Everyone was happy, except his Dad.... I don't think he wanted my fiance to leave home let alone marry someone from further away. That's a whole other story, but all our friends were happy

This was SO exciting. We actually got married on the first day of our trip to Cabo, and we didn't have WiFi to tell anyone. So we went the whole week with just the two of us knowing (and a few randoms we met on the resort, haha) and i was BURSTING to share the news when we got back
