When Did You Get Engaged?!

New Years Eve!


NYE 2018 was our first date, so we planned on going out this year for a few drinks! I’m not good in front of a crowd, so just as we were heading out, as I came down from fixing my hair, he unexpectedly popped the question ❤️
And now I’m a 2024 bride 🥰

December 6 2020

We got engaged April 13, 2020 in our backyard while practicing golf and having a gorgeous day out with our dogs. We announced to everyone in June of 2020.

November 25 2021 in Cuba

I actually proposed to my fiance! We live across the country from our families and were visiting home in October. I proposed on his parents porch on October 21, 2021. I had gotten him a ring so I could get down on one knee and do it properly hahha! We ended up returning his ring and putting it towards one for me. I'm so glad I stopped waiting and took this into my own hands! Scariest few moments of my life 😛😍

Our wedding is all set and ready to go. We've had to postpone twice. Originally wedding date was August 8 2020, so when the pandemic hit we just put everything on hold. We moved it to August 7 2021 but of course things weren't that great when we needed to make a final decision in the spring so we moved our wedding to August 7 2022. We only need to get our suits picked out and my dress needs to still get altered.

My parents got engaged on Christmas Eve ! My fiancé followed suit and proposed Christmas morning. I’m really happy that I get to share this with my parents and we get to tell this to our kids and future grandkids.

My fiance and I got engaged this past September...on the 11th.

LOL it was not intentional and we didn't even realize until his brother pointed it out.

"Hey, you guys do realize you got engaged on the 20th anniversary of 9/11, right?"

Needless to say I am fully expecting that comment to make an appearance during someone's speech

My fiancé proposed December 22nd, 2021 at my parent's house. We had just finished decorating Christmas cookies and we dancing around the living room to some Christmas songs when he got on one knee! What he didn't expect was that his planned photographers (my parents) were on their iPads with headphones on and almost missed the whole thing 😂😂 Thankfully they noticed after I called for them before I said yes so they got to see the good part! Haha!
Side note: he gave me his grandmother's ring and his dad is a former jeweler and resized it for me in secret before the proposal. So special!

We got engaged on Christmas eve at midnight too! It was a simple proposal where my fiancé made a pretend gift and turns out his actual gift was the ring which he had on his hand the whole time. Now we’re planning for our fall 2022 wedding this September and are so excited about it!

I proposed in November at home, we are major homebodies. I set up our main balcony with a blow up couch with pillows and blankets, wine, rose petals and faux candles with her favourite movie ready to be played by a projector. I asked, she said yes and we are excited for our 2023 wedding!

I had a beautiful restaurant planned with lot of amazing spots including a small faux waterfall with a bridge. All went downhill thanks to covid-19. So I had to improvise like crazy. On the day off I was so nervous, anxious as I had to changed plans last minute. Finally decided to do it in a park after a picnic with another couple. While there I was scouting for the perfect spot and when I found it, I went down on one knee and the rest is history
