Best: Do what makes you happy. (Even though that doesn't actually happen because everyone has an opinion)

    Worst: You should have eloped

Best so far: make a sample of your centrepieces and decor before making the final decisions

Worst: haven't really gotten any bad advice

The best advice we've gotten was that something may go wrong the day of, and not to stress about the little things. We plan to enjoy it regardless of little things that may go wrong, I can't wait to enjoy our day!

We haven't really received any terrible advice, everything has been running pretty smoothly so far!

Best advice for the wedding was "not everything will go as planned, it never does. Go with the flow as most likely you are one of the very few who will notice". Worst advice is "you must invite every person in the family because they are blood and they will give you gifts".

The best piece of advice I got, was the day before and day of, whatever happens, just go with the flow. You wont be able to change anything and everything will work out, there is no need to freak out or panic over it! It was very much true and I actually remained very calm and everything worked out!

You're allowed to be the bride!
It was from a coworker who is also an event planner. I was looking at this from a planner's perspective making everything easy for the guest and almost chose the wrong venue. She said, "you're the bride have it where you want" and it's been really good to remind myself of that. The wedding is for us and although I want to make everything awesome for the guests, it should still reflect our vision.

The best planning advice I received was "on the day, don't worry if everything is not exactly how you planned it, if the seating chart is not in the right spot, or if the centerpieces do not look exactly as you planned, don't freak out, because you are the only one who will notice. To everyone else, everything is beautiful and just as you planned it." This advice really resonated with me, and I am going to try my hardest to live by it on my wedding day if little things do not go as planned.

The worst planning advice I received was "you are starting too early, you will not like what you chose in two years time." I started planning my wedding over 2 years ago, and while there were some minor changes, such as certain flowers and our colour scheme, our overall theme and how we wanted the wedding to be has not changed. I truly think its never too early to start planning, and I got the best vendors and my dream venue because I started early!
