What will your ring bearer carry down the aisle?

Lynnie, on April 12, 2018 at 14:48 Posted in Wedding ceremony 0 21

What will your ring bearer carry down the aisle?

Are you going with a traditional pillow, or switching it up with a sign or "ring security" briefcase?

Will your ring bearer actually carry your rings down the aisle?

That ring security briefcase picture is hilarious!

I haven't given this much thought yet, but I think a small, silk pillow sounds nice.

We have a woodland theme so have little hollowed branch holders with lids. Perfect for our theme.

Our ring bearer was our two year old nephew so there was no way we were going to put our actual rings on the pillow haha. Every time we got him to practice before the wedding, he would throw the pillow or run around or take off the opposite direction so we didn't want to chance it.

We got some fake rings to put on the pillow for him.

He walked down the aisle with our flower girl who dropped her petals on the aisle as she went. We now have pictures of him walking nicely (unexpected) down the aisle with her, watching her drop the petals haha.

I found a little box with a heart on top at dollarama. We're going to paint it white and out some foam inside to hold the rings in place. Once he gets to the front, he will pass the rings to the best man to hold for the ceremony. Our ring bearer is 4 so he will not be able to stand still at the front for the ceremony, so he will be joining his parents after the walk.

No ring bearer Smiley sad adults only wedding. We will just have the best man have the rings in his pocket.

I saw a very cute video of a cat being trained to take the rings down the aisle... but my FH saws our fur baby is staying home... haha.

Our ring bearer is a friends son. I will let him choose what he wants to carry them in. He is very excited about his responsibility, and wants to make a speech! lol!

I'm thinking the ring pillow. I want it as traditional as possible.

I think he’ll carry a traditional pillow. He’ll only be 8 months old and in a wagon so I think that will be best for him

So my ring bearer and flower girl will be walking down the aisle together (they are twins so it's going to be super cute). She will be holding a nice bouquet and he will be carrying a traditional pillow.

I'm playing up the "Ring Security" for some pictures before the wedding but not the day of! I love the fun of it but I am thinking of just a pillow for down the isle!

However... I am having 2 ring bearers and I'm honestly not sure how I should divide up the rings? Or even if I should?

My fiance's godson is one and then one of my bridesmaids has a son the same age so I wanted him in the party too!

I'm debating between a pillow or a wooden box with our rings in them. Though the whole 'ring security' idea is super cute, I'm slowly starting to be over it. Also, he'll have to tackle some stairs on his way to the front, so a sign would be too risky!
