I do have my back up plans- because that situation is a real life nightmare! I made sure to check contracts and clarify everything before signing.

Still- if a vendor cancels, I'm going to have a meltdown.

I am glad that you posted the Emilie, recently in Winnipeg one of the venue had caught on fire and needs to be rebuild. This does not affect me but I felt sorry for the couples that booked then and now have to find another vendor. The good news is that they are expected to be up in running for 2018 and no one was hurt by the fire.

Thankfully most of my vendors have it in our contract that if they can't provide service anymore, they have to find a replacement (and they pay the difference if their fees are more expensive). But I am type A and I have a backups for my backups... one of the good parts of being married in the off season is that I don't have to worry too much about vendors being fully booked
