What time is your wedding ceremony?

Joey, on June 14, 2018 at 08:05 Posted in Wedding ceremony 0 33

When does the big event kick off? What time will your ceremony begin? Did you choose the time or was it set by your venue?

We're thinking ceremony at 3pm, reception at 6pm. Time for pictures after the ceremony, plus rest-time for grandparents haha

We're having both the ceremony and the reception at the FIL's acreage, so people can just hang around the house and yard if they want. Nice thing about a backyard wedding - no time restrictions!

Our ceremony will be in the afternoon either at 4 or 430. Our venue is still open to the public during that time, but if we wanted to wait until they closed, it'd be a 6pm ceremony (too late for us).

Our ceremony start time was set by our venue. I wanted it to be a little earlier in the afternoon as we’re a late October wedding and 4:00 arrival 4:30 start seemed late but we’re making it work with there set times.

Cool! Most of our guests live in the town where the church is, so I imagine they'll go home. I think we may also have some light pastries and coffee in the church hall for those who are from further away. And then there is a 15-drive to the reception so that will kill some time lol.

4.30pm, for now, may push it to 5pm. I chose it, because it makes the most sense... sun sets at 4.45pm that day (Jan 19), and we are doing our photos beforehand so we have daylight... we are not having a cocktail hour, so it made sense to lead right into the reception between 5-5.30pm... Dinner at about 6pm.

3pm. Had the option of 1:30 or 3 but went with 3 so guests wouldn't have a long break.

Our ceremony is at 4.30PM, we decided on the time ourselves.

Everything is in the same location, so there will be a cocktail hour from 5.00PM - 6.00PM and we aim to have everyone sitting at their tables by 6.30PM for our entrance as husband and wife (omg crazy to think about it)

Our ceremony will be in the morning. 11am. Minus the fact that I have to get up early to get ready, I don’t think I would change it.

We are aiming for a 3pm start. that way there isn't too much time between ceremony and reception for the guests. but we have enough time for photos.
our ceremony place is pretty chill. they asked me the time. and I said....between 2 and 4 we haven't fully planned yet. haha

3:30 pm. This gives us enough time to get ready in the morning, do pictures and then go to the ceremony. Plus our guests don't have to find something to do to fill 3-4 hours of time before the reception, as they can head over immediately after the ceremony!

5pm - everything is in the same spot so we wanted an easy transition from ceremony to cocktails to reception.

    * Side note - the second picture at the Royal is where my FSIL got married and where we are having our rehearsal dinner - so prestigious and super swanky.

Afternoon. Got the last few times available at city hall. Also gives enough time to prepare for everything. And guests can start their weekend off on a good event

Nothing set in stone just yet but we have the venue for the entire weekend so we get to chose. I am thinking that to avoid having a "cocktail hour" we will have it in the evening so we can go straight to eating! (Pictures will be taken before the guests arrive - me and FH will be doing a first look reveal.)

We're doing a 5PM ceremony - I think it is a prefect time of day, that way we can take photos as the sun is setting before the reception.

Evening. 5:30pm is when our wedding is scheduled to start. We chose it. We could have done any time of day, but this time works better for our overall feel!
