What time will you check into your hotel the day of your wedding? How early can you check into the hotel the night of the wedding? Who will you get to help you check in and put your bags away?

That was convenient, I don’t think that would work for a hotel though

Our venue allowed us to check in when coming in the reception desk 2 days prior the day. We checked in few hours before our family and friends started checking in at the venue. The amount of things to bring in and get done for the reception room were to be done.

We are anticipating that the majority of our guests will be checking in the night before, so they can be settled for the next day. Those who don’t only have a 45-60 min drive outside of the city to the venue. So they won’t need to freshen up or anything. The ceremony is early afternoon and will be about half an hour, followed by an hour of cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. That way they will not be to full by the time the reception starts at 5p.m and also those feeling the time difference can relax a little.

That’s a good idea, what time does your ceremony start? That will be nice to use the jacuzzi maybe even the hotel spa!

That’s good you are giving them some time in between to do that. We don’t have many guests flying in.

I'll be there night before. Guests can check in before ceremony. We are going to have a later ceremony. It'll give them a chance to get ready in their room. Our bags will only be needed to be brought to the new room.

We will be there the night before along with the BM, MOH and our parents. The guest who drive up the day of will be able to check in after our ceremony, and before the reception starts.

Our venue was our hotel and their event coordinator slipped us the room key during the dinner (She popped in to make sure the food was up to standard). DH and I had our bags in the getting ready rooms and our parents moved them over for us so that after the wedding, we just had to go up to our room.

Our venue is an inn so we're using their accommodations. I think we'll check in at 2ish when we arrive at the venue and have someone else dump our bags in our room so we don't cross paths.

Were flying in for our wedding so we will just keep the same room for the wedding night. It’ll be less stressful the day of for sure!

We’re not getting a hotel - one reason is to save money and the other reason is that 5 hours after our wedding we need to be at the airport so it’s easier to just stay at our parents house.

What my FH and his brother did for their sister and her husband when they got married was they booked the room for them as a gift and brought their bags to the hotel in the morning of the wedding and the concierge put the bags into the hotel at some point during the day.
Then family dropped them off at the hotel after the wedding around 1:30am.

We left our wedding around 10:00– we love our family and friends but we also wanted some time just to ourselves and so many people said how exhausted they were so we decided to leave early.
So, we checked into our hotel at that time. We had also decided to go all out, so we got valet service and they brought the bags up to the room. It was great but also a real splurge! We also booked the hotel room for two nights so we wouldn’t have to rush out in the morning and could enjoy the jacuzzi a little longer!
