What suggestions for mens wear??

A couple of the groomsmen for reasons that I won't say, can't afford to rent a tux or buy a suit. They are special guys to both of us, and have been friends with my Fiance since before grade school. Would it look wrong to have the guys in dress shirts, and dress pants only? We are on a tight budget already.

My husband's side was purple and my side was turquoise/blue. The Bestmen wore ties

We are doing black pants and white dress shirts. I ordered suspenders and ties from Ebay. It was only $72 for 5 sets.

We did dress pants, dress shirt, suspenders, and a bow tie to match the wedding colors. Suspenders and bow tie we got on Etsy for a really good price.
