What is ok for the groomsmen to wear?

Carol, on August 17, 2017 at 22:56 Posted in Wedding fashion 0 13
We have a couple groomsmen that we want part of standing with us, for reasons, they can't afford to either rent a tux or buy a suit. Is just dress shirts and dress pants ok? We are tight on the budget already.

Are you buying the wedding party gifts? If so, the cost of renting can saved if the groomsmen can pay the rental suit. If the thought of going with suspenders and ties, stick with it.

This is what our guy(a) are wearing. Super simple. Most guys already have dark wash jeans. And they just went and picked up shirts, vests and ties. All totally on sale and they spent less than $100!

Unless something changes, I think this will be what we are going with. I would love to stay that we can cover the cost for some of the guys for tux rentals or buying a suit, but it adds up.

At our wedding we will have both groom and the groomsmen in grey pants, white dress shirt, suspenders and green bowtie.
We are having a more laid back wedding but honestly the suspenders and bowtie is my favorite look. Nice and simple.

I think it looks nice but the only thing that matters is what you and your FH think as it is your big day.

I will be checking them out for sure, and I have no problem buying from them. My son even asks for me to bring him there sometimes.

My Wedding is only 4 days into spring, I forgot to mention that part. Lol it could still snow! Now that I've found a few pics, and had a couple good ideas, I think it will look good.

These are nice but it looks a little unfinished. You're getting married in March so it won't be hot then. Seriously, check out the thrift stores. I have found so much for my wedding there. Some people thumb their noses at thrift shops but I wouldn't have been able to raise 4 kids and have a house if I bought everything new.

I would say a nice dress shirt and dress pants and tie. As long as shirts are tucked in I do not see a reason to by a jacket especially during hot summer.

These are some pics I found on Pinterest, I think it looks good with the groomsmen dress shirts and my Fiancee can still wear a suit or tux. What's your thoughts?

I have seen beautiful suits at Value Village. It might be worth checking it out. Find out when the next 50% off day is online. I bought navy vests and white shirts there for my groomsmen. The shirts were 1/2 price so I spent about $6.50 each, and the vests were around $5.00. Everything looks like new. They will be getting their own navy pants, but I bought slim orange ties for them since my colours are fall. We were also on a very tight budget ($6000) and I've managed to keep within it.
