I recently gave my Nails a break from gel before the wedding and am going crazy without them! These are my past Nails and what I’ll be getting for the wedding, show me what you plan on doing!

I order off clearly.ca, I pay roughly $95 for six months (They come in sets of six so I can’t go any smaller) some of the other brands are a little more expensive but if you’re a regular contact lens wearer I would definitely recommend talking to your optometrist about switching over. Clearly operates out of Vancouver and always ship priority so I literally get them the day they ship 90% of the time. They also often have deals running so you can get things cheaper.

Wow really? I’ve been told that dailies were best for moisture, what does it cost you for a 3 month supply? I just paid 180$ for 90 days

Yeah that would make sense too. I’ve been to nail salons in the malls multiple times and they always hurt a lot afterwards, so I can definitely see it being the combination.

Switching to monthly’s honestly made my eyes feel so much better. They don’t dry out anywhere near as much! I’ve had contacts for like 5/6 years now but because I until last year had fast food jobs I could never get fake nails so I’ve only had them like thrice and I gave up

Haha certainly takes a lot of practice! My one coworker told me she spent 40 minutes at the eye place trying to take them out and put them back in 😆 one night I slept in them and had the hardest time trying to get them out, I wear super soft dailies! It can be really frustrating for sure :p

It was probably a bit of the tech's part and I have found out since I have allergies to some adhesives (might have played a role, not sure). I am glad you have such an awesome tech though. :-)

I adore that as well! If you don’t have a regular nail tech you should definitely get a trial done, because not all are equal in experience with the fades

That’s awesome that you have such strong nails, I certainly don’t! Haha. Whoever did you Nails definitely did them wrong though, I’ve found that whenever I go to one of the nail salons that my nails hurt really bad, and that’s because they are way too rough. I’ve been going to my nail tech for over a year and a half and not once have I left with my nails hurting. That sucks that you had that experience
The plan is just using my natural nails with a nice mani and maybe a coloured nail polish. I have super strong nails so a bit of length isn't a problem (not exaggerating...genetics, no one on my dad's side of the family can use a general emery board...has to be a metal nail file...lol) I tried fake nails once as a trail run for prom and they hurt so much I had to get them removed the next day. Could not sleep at all that night.

That makes sense.. I recently took mine off before getting contacts so I’m going to have to learn to put them in with long nails. I’ve found that I can get them out using my middle fingers and roll them out.. if that makes sense? It’ll be a challenge but I need my long nails 😩

Thanks love! Yeah they are a little “extra” haha but they actually last a long time, just gotta be careful not to nick them on everything haha
Those are pretty! I considered going fancy and getting the gel nails but I can’t take my contacts out when I where them. I know some people can but I almost take my eye out when I have fake nails. So for me it’s not worth the money I’ll pay when literally that night I’m going to have to file them down to a stump. I’m going to just get a normal manicure, either in a nude or in a sapphire blue to match my ring.
