What hairstyle will you wear with it?

My dress is not a typical destination wedding dress. It is a ball gown. If I were to do a veil it would probably be fairly long. I do t think a bird cage would suit the dress or me very well.

To be honest not really going to that vintage look but I just love how it look and I think it's soo me. I didn't order it is actually DIY IT!

Definitely go with a birdcage if you don't want to hide the back of your dress . Or you can have a shorter veil too like shoulder length. Good luck

I also feel it doesn't fit my personality that's why I followed my heart. But I have to say my mother and grandmother are upset that I didn't go with a traditional veil . But it's my day , right

Ashley I think if you are getting married on a beach with the wind your pictures will be amazing . I love pictures when the veil is like floating absolutely beautiful. But I understand it can be in the way if it's always in your face .

Hehheehehe. I had the same problem. Don't get me wrong veils are beautiful and lovely but my personality doesn't go with it. I am more of a birdcage kinda girl. Can't wait to see your pics

I love this birdcage. It looks fabulous.
I am still unsure if I will have a veil. We are getting married in Jamaica on the beach and I think the veil may be too much with the wind.. but I am undecided because I have always wanted a veil.

I love the birdcage look! I am considering one, but will have a better idea when I choose my dress.

I will not wear a traditional veil, because I want a dramatic back on my dress, and I wouldn't want to cover it. And definately not a blusher- not a big fan of that tradition myself.

I know I changed my mind about what I wanted. At first I absolutely did not want a veil… then they put one on me while I was trying on dresses and was like… yup, looks like I’m getting a veil now!

You're totally right that not every bride necessarily feel like wearing a veil and it's good that you could find a compromise and get one you really like!

I have decided on a veil as I always wanted one, it's mid-length and perfect for the vision I had walking down the aisle. The birdcage veil is also nice and compliment to any dress.
