Wedding Planning Accessories: Notebook, App or Both

Megis, on March 23, 2018 at 20:42 Posted in Plan a wedding 0 19

I’m using a combination of notebooks and the wedding wire app to plan my wedding.

The notebook is mostly for ideas I get when I’m away from my phone. Got it from amazon. The pen I got separately.

What do you use for wedding planning?

    So far I love it. It literally only started February of this year, so I have gotten the actual first 2 boxes. If you sign up for the 8 month, you get absolutely everything, and it's the lowest price per month. Try looking/waiting for a discount code (I got a % off with a bride code).

    This month (March) I got a "Bride" tote bag, a "Wifey" hat, make-up bag, toe socks (yoga socks), ceramic ring dish... (and more, just can't remember off the top of my head). They are super cute items and every month I get a little "excitement" boost about the upcoming wedding! Each box is themed, from "Let's Plan This" to "Bridal Beauty" to "Honeymoon & Last Minute", etc. Super cute!

    I have a shared note with my man. It's mostly me adding to it BUT he checks periodically. I also ordered a Wedding Planner from Erin Condren. Pretty pricey but beautiful! I also use Pinterest and am now trying out a Mood Board.

    Anyone try the Miss to Mrs boxes?

    I ordered the Miss to Mrs Box subscription, so far I have received 2 of the 8 months. I got a notepad, 2 pens like you have (one is gold, one white with polka-dots, both with the big diamonds!), paper clips, a bride tote, etc... Super cute, gets you really excited for the wedding when you get all your bride stuff (Wifey Hat, woohoo).

    I bought The Knot Ultimate Wedding Planning Binder 3 days after I got engaged. I started filling it out, then I realized I can't erase stuff, so once things are 100%, I will go fill it out in the binder.

    I also have religiously filled out all my information on this website, including already mocking up a seating chart, installing my guest list, and designing my wedding website.

    I also have several Pinterest boards, sorted and categorized (Wedding - General, Hair & Make-Up, Bridesmaids & Groomsmen, Dresses, etc)...

    I thought it would be overwhelming, but I find the more organized I make things, the calmer I am.

    My mom bought me a binder and I haven’t touched it, I feel bad she spent money on it.
    so far I’ve only been using:
    - my phone;
    - pinterest;
    - this website;
    - google docs.

    i like the idea of a binder, but I know I’d forget about it pretty quickly.

    I use my brain a lot and don't write a lot down. TERRIBLE I know.

    I also save pictures to my computer when I see things and have an email folder for correspondences.

    I have a file folder that has our vendor contracts in it too.

    I've been using this site and a notebook I carry with me most places to write lists and ideas I think about on the road.

    I use this website, the knot.com website, and a planning book from the knot as well. My FH and I also make lists of things we need to do as well.

    I’m currently using:

    - a wedding planning binder
    - agenda
    - notebook
    - Wedding Wire
    - email

    They each serve a purpose and I check things off officially in my wedding planner binder.

    Ditto! Our venue actually provided it to us when we signed. It has the plastic sleeves in it and everytime I get a new contract I print it and put it in there. I also have my phone for sure with a separate folder in my emails for confirmed vendors and a wedding photo album for quick access! I like old school paper and pen too but with my busy on the go lifestyle my phone has become my planner lol

    I'm using an agenda for keeping info and meeting dates. I'm old school so i like to write it down. I use wedding wire to keep track of my to do list, the wedding website & to seek advice & vice versa.

    I have most of my planning on my phone: wedding wire, Pinterest, emails, photos etc. I have some contracts printed and stored in our spare room. I’ve turned our spare room into our wedding room lately lol
