Wedding Photographer - how much are you paying?

We’re paying $2000 for our engagement shoot and 10 hour wedding day with 2 photographers. I looked at a looot of different photographers and unfortunately the ones I saw that were less I didn’t like the photo quality. I also went and met with our photographer in person first to see how we matched and whether we were comfortable with each other and talked about expectations which helped me!

I booked an amazing photographer for $1500 - 5 hours of photography and an engagement shoot. Shes trying to get into photography full time so i know her prices are going up this year though. But very happy with her work. She did 2 of my friends weddings last summer and we could not have been happier with how our engagement shoot turned out!

Thats about what i ended up paying as well, same type of services. Photography 10hours, engagement shoot and photo album.

We ended up paying 3000.00 for engagement shoot, wedding (10 hours, 2 photographers, receiving all high res pictures) - it seemed like a lot, we looked at ones that were $1000-$3000 and I knew that I wouldn't be happy with the pictures from the lower priced photographers that we saw. Pictures are one of the most important parts for me, and you only have this day once so I think its important to choose the photographer and style that you like best, and base it less on price.
